Zoflora is my friend...a pungent disinfectant (particularly love the Flowershop flavoured one, smells of fresh green cut stems); only needs 12 squares of the tiles wiped, ie one quick arm movememnt, to fill the kitchen with "clean smells".

Well, get me :A have just decanted the dregs of 5 bottles of bubble bath & soapy stuff bottles into the pump action hand cleaner - looks like a stripey bottle from that Isle of Wight layered sand place, but it is all about using what you have, and dumping it into a smaller space.
  • When You sweep the kitchen, just do what I do.... Hide the sweepings under the bin. Every once in a blue moon they need hoovering up. But every time? Really?
    :)

In our house, when things break, we just pretend they still work
  • Keep an elderly rabbit in the house She's very sensitive to bleach so I can't use it very often now. Shame.

The rail in a wardrobe is somewhere to keep empty hangers and hold back the clothes mountain so it doesn't fall on the floor when you open the doors, isn't it? My mum once suggested that I could hang the clothes up rather than chucking them in the bottom of the wardrobe but I'm pretty sure that isn't how its supposed to work?!

You're right. Clothes are actually scared of heights and very sociable creatures so it's much kinder to leave them in a pile with their friends. These little things make their life much more pleasant.

A what in your hand? The name rings a bell, but I'm pretty sure I don't own one of those, whatever it is... :rotfl:

I have to admit that I don't move any furniture heavier than a kitchen chair to hoover. When the furniture is moved for some other reason, that's the time to clean under and behind it - unless you know something really nasty has fallen behind it and will fester if not cleaned up.

I have been known to throw some bleach round the loo and wipe the basin taps just before visitors arrive.

I have posh, but wierdly herbal smelling handwash which was a present, that I swap out with the old bottle filled with anything soapy when visitors are coming so they use up the posh looking handwash that I don't like! When it eventually gets finished, I'll throw out the old bottle and start re-filling the posh one! ;)

Does anyone else dump excess clutter into another room and just close the door? That works until I want to let the visitors into the room to meet my ferrets...
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!
