LOL, I love this thread! Much more my style than FlyLady!

I thought I was the only one with a floordrobe... but clearly I'm just keeping my clothes away from the terror that is the rail! It makes so much sense that they're scared of heights! ;)

Use towels destined for the wash to clean up the damp dust bunnies on the tiled bathroom floor. No need to even bend down, use foot to push around then kick into washbin (and try not to be horrifed my the amount of dust and hair that's picked up!). :)

Got a lot of empty coffee cups/glasses etc on the side waiting to be washed and someone turns up? Throw a load of coasters around and act like they've just missed the people you had round for coffee and cake! :)

When all else fails, close the doors on the worst rooms and hope guests aren't nosey. ;)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

don't have laser eye procedure, then you won't notice how mucky the house is or how old you look (before I had mine done, I thought I looked OK for my age - I was wrong!)

my mum had cataract surgery in both eyes, then discovered that a blouse she had bought to match an outfit, didn't match at all :D She also didn't know whether to laugh or cry when she realised how white her hair was. :o

Yes, we've still got one up. Just the one, but still it's there. The Christmas decoration box is full, so seems pointless to take it down just now...

i have a christmas decoration that stays up all year...on purpose though

my top tip is tesco antibac wipes when on offer. much easier to wipe with one of them than fill sink/bucket with water and cleaning fluid and then have to find a cloth

    I am a slob-man, can I join in?

I have over 30 years of living a solitary batchelor life to draw experience from :)

Hoovering - only to be done when I can actually see footprints in the dust on the carpet (have you seen how much electricity a vacum cleaner uses?)

Dusting - only to be done if unable to see computer screen/TV properly.

Clean Bathroom - should only be done when water takes longer to drain from tub than it takes to dry one's self.

Window Cleaning - Why? they just get dirty again and anyway it will rain tomorrow and as for the inside, just think on the money you are saving on buying net curtains.

Washing dishes - only when there is not enough left to use for tonights tea, that way you are sure to have enough dirty ones to warrant filling the sink with soapy water.

Want to learn how to be a perfect slob? ask a single man :D

    It's not, actually. :)
The tree went back outside on Sunday evening.
