I cackled with glee at the title of this thread - I'll make myself at home! I've spent half an hour that I could've spent clearing away the dinner plates reading it and sniggering!
I think I've done everything listed here except burying my crockery.
Brilliant threadSeriously money saving0 -

I had better get to bed now as the British Heart Foundation are doing a massive collection of 'stuff' from me in the morning. I am so looking forward to a sizeable chunk of clutter being gone.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Today the DGC came along with DD and collected their Easter gifts; bags of little eggs, clothes and books (never big choc eggs from me as I figure they will have enough from everyone else.)
DD also took a spare steam generator iron and hot air brush, along with a book of crochet patterns. More clutter gone!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... To avoid the problem of worrying when people visit, just remember to only cultivate friends who are like-minded when it comes to housework. I offered to host the new year party and specifically told people that they were coming to have a good time and not look at my house. They were only too happy to agree.0
