Socks - well they are a flippin' law unto themselves.

Buy a 5 pack of identical black socks you say - yeah, done that, so why do some wash as blue/black, grey/black, brown/black, 2 go missing, none ever match up again after the first washing.

Socks, or the pairing of, are the spawn of satan, invented to drive us to madness!!!!

You're lucky if 2 socks go missing at least you still have an even number of socks to put into pairs - even if they are different shades...

In our house it's always 1 or 3 that go missing - so that on the very rare occasions that I actually try to pair them up there is always one left.....normally I just chuck them in a basket and root round in the mornings for 2 matching ones for grandson for school. At least they're clean and they do usually match.

I buy his socks from Next, black ones with coloured heels and toes - I used to think that one of the blue ones had faded at the heel and toe - I discovered a couple of weeks ago (during a very rare sock basket blitz) that there are actually 2 pairs of those socks and one pair does have a washed out blue heel and toe and other bright blue....

I found out that one of my neighbours moves her furniture every week to hoover underneath...I thought people like that only existed on the FlyLady thread and couldn't possibly be real....I was totally awed - well almost totally.

Having two teenage boys, I can usually find somebody willing to do small chores for a fee. They do their own washing (the washing machine is available to them one day a week each) I do household washing, ohs clothes are washed and folded, ix put them in a pile and he has to put them away. My clothes are in threee piles - trousers, t shirt and jumpers. I take one from each pile after having a shower, underwear and socks likewise in three draws, so its one from each draw.

Btw, when the old dishwasher gave up, I kept the cutlery rack as it fits the new dishwasher, so now the family have no excuse not to stack plates and put cutlery in the rack ready to go back in thedishwasher

foil burns magnificently.. especially when liberally coated with fat and crumbs.. the nice Mr Fireman was not impressed to find my grill pan foil lined and burning my kitchen down.. so if you all set you houses on fire.. I told you so!

Teflon oven liner is better.. I then put it in the dishwasher.. or make OH do it while he is doing the pots :p

I have had a broken dw in the middle of my kitchen since christmas.. I will get round to ebaying the bits... soon.. ish....

My daughter cleared and wiped the kitchen worktops a few weeks ago.. she found 3 separate piles of cat sick... they have not been cleaned since..

I have a puddle of bleach on the floor behind the loo.. it disguises the smell of p!ss and every so often I'll swish said bleach about with the mop and put another puddle there...

I don't know if I own an iron..

You see why I don't run the flylady thread any more?

My aunt could never be bothered to wash up dishes she'd used to bake in the oven. She'd just bury them in the back garden.

I like to think it runs in families.

My late MIl used to put hers in the garden for the birds to peck at...

Even being a self confessed slob - I am a smidge embarassed about this one....

Only yesterday, yes the 30th March - did I remove the Christmas table cloths. :o:o:o

In my defence, they were more wipeable than the usual cloth, so were great for sowing my seeds in the house, and potting on plants. (well, it has been too cold for doing these jobs in the greenhouse).

Anyone else still have a Christmas remnant at Easter?

Lol I didn't buy a Christmas table cloth cos I knew I would be too lazy to change it. My brown and white one has all the white bits stained tomato sauced coloured....might buy a red one next cos that wouldn't show stains and its suitable for Christmas......someone remind me about November time please lol
