Evening all,
Can I join you, I'm a bit daunted after seeing all the beautiful things you have made.
Is the knitting thread then. I'm a bit behind the times I'm guessing you've been put altogether here?
Anyway I'm a very basic knitter although I love it and would love to get better. It's therapeutic for me and as I've just found out I'm going to be a granny in October:j:j my son and his wife who live in Australia are expecting. Early days yet so not sure if its a boy or girl so will have to start something neutral. I'm starting with a baby blanket and possibly going to finish it with a crocheted edge if I'm brave enough.
As money is very tight for us as you can see by my signature I'm hoping to get much better and put together a gift basket of hand made items so any help or ideas much appreciated.
Looking forward to seeing more lovely photos, bye for now JulieStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

I've just been right through the thread whilst casting on my baby blanket. Wow what an absolutely fantastic and inspirational thread. I love so many of your things, you will have to forgive me I've forgotten everyone's name but I will get used to you all.
I've got so many different ideas for my baby project o don't know where to start. I will organise my thoughts and try and post some of my list tomorrow.
Thanks for the warm welcome Maria. Can I say I loved your quilt and have always wanted to make a big kingsize one for our bed and pass it on to my kids, maybe I should have a bash at a little one for the new baby first:D
I loved the owl, so cute and the button bouquet beautiful. Also the sewing folder was lovely, just so many nice things, I'm excited I don't know where to start:j
After years of working a lot of hours and very little time to indulge in crafting I now work from home, so have a little more time, although need to be careful not to be crafting when I should be working.
Oh and I have already decided that I'm going to make the wreaths for Christmas for my sister in laws and daughter in laws, so thanks whoever posted the link. I also need to check out flicker so I can post my finished projects.
So please I found you all and looking forward to seeing more lovely pics Julie xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
