Maria - thanks for the code - will have a look. Your quilt is amazing - and first attempt too!!! You are very talented and well done for 'beating' the binding ;-)
Everyone sounds like they are coming along nicely too. I am planning to dedicate lots of time to my cross stitch this week (after a wk of chaos!!) Will then try to learn how to upload pics and will update list too.

Maria - some lovely finishes. Your quilt is really nice and so impressed that it's your first attempt.

I've updated my list, changed a couple of the items a bit and added numbers 12 and 13.

1. Finish Bug cross stitch - finished 18.1.13
2. Finish turtle cross stitch
3. Stitch Alessandra Adelaide eye design - cross stitch, started tonight 19.1.13. Finished.
4. Take part in & finish hardanger SAL from Mable Figworthy - last pattern published 1.12.13 so hopefully finish by end of year.
5. Finish A - Z Nativity cross dtitch by 11.12.13
6. Finish Advent calendar wall hanging for great nephew by 30.11.13.
7. Finish scarf for sister by 15.12
8. Unpick hand knitted cardigan (I finished it just before I lost 5 stone & now too big) and knit again. Started – wool unpicked, mainly knitted still to do welt around pocker and sew up.
9. Finish quilt for bed - large project and first quilt I've done.
10. Apron 1950’s style made from old skirt and cross stitch picture for friends 40th. Finished
11. Sandy Hook square for teachers quilt, Whoo hoo? Me Too? Finished 8.2.13.
12.Shorten curtains and make cushion covers with material cut off. Curtains shortened, cushion covers still to be made.
13. Make Easter presents - cardigan for great nephew and appliqu!d caravan cushion cover for Dad. Finished

Finsihed 5/13 Started 3/13

Have bought a pre-cut mdf shape to decorate for DD and SIL who are renewing their vows this year. Would it be cheating to include that in my projects as I didn't cut it out myself? It's really lovely, two birds and a central heart so hope I don't ruin it!

A project is a project - I don't think Soulie set any rules for what can and can't be included

How are you planning to decorate the shape? At the last craft show I went to there was a stand selling lots of MDF shapes and I was very tempted (though I don't really have the time, space or cash for another hobby :rotfl:)

I realy like the Eye design and have now discovered lots of designs by this designer that I have added to my Pinterest board as I would love to stitch them "some time". Her designs are so unusual and she has a very distinctive style.
