Wow your makes are so inspiring, might looking doing a button art collage to add to my list, today I've started to cover large cardboard letter for DGD2s new bedroom at ours. Was initially just doing her initial but do you think that might just look daft and I should carry on getting the letters for her full name?

I think a single initial will look lovely

Brooch bouquet done! by sk00bie81, on Flickr

Didn't manage to finish my niece's door sign though, was so close but we had a power issue on the night before her birthday and I ran out of time :( Will have to finish it when we get back.

I've almost finished the place and escort cards, just need to write on names when we have a final guest list and do a display board.

Thank you flowerofscotland I think I will just carry on with her initial and see, the thing that's really putting me off is that all the letters I've found are uppercase and I wouldn't really want to confuse her as she's only two!

Skoobie wow what can I say, except I had to google escort cards (ha) what a good idea they are too. Your madness are so professional looking. X

Do you know there is a new Spring Quilt Show at the Kent County Ground in April ?

    http://www.grosvenorshows.co.uk/html/Spring_Kent.html

I've been to the Malvern shows run by this company and they are great fun.

Ooh this is about 20 minutes away from me, actually drove up Detling Hill this afternoon. Have never done quilting but the show might still be fun!

i love these buttons pictures (maybe one to go on my list?!) i have seen where someone has got a big long sheet of painted wood, done the initial in buttons and then painted the rest of the name in swirly writing and smaller. it looked really nice.
if i were to attempt one i would probaly do it like this, but knock up a box frame for it too.

ive finished my wooden painted picture, however ds2 got hold of it (silly me needing to rush off to the loo and leaving him for a whole 2 mins ) and he snapped the bottom off!
i have glued it back on, but i think ill need to repainted a bit of it and try to disguise what has happened. i shall do this tomorrow night and then add pictures for you all to see.

my initial plan was to have it on top if the stairs so you see it when you go down, but the hubby (who is supportive of my crafts but doesnt really gush over them) has suggested it go in the living room, on one side of the chimney breast (complete turn up for the books, he must really like it!)
so i am on the look out for another 'saying' to do another one to hang on the other side.
