  • scuff your owl looks lovely, well done on completing your first item.

FoS cant wait to see your lets sew. i love how the same design can be made to look unique by adapting the fabric and thread colours.
after seeing marias im tempted to add that to my 'would love to do list' but im being good this year and using up what i have (for now anyway)

I've been making slow progress with Let's Sew but wasted a lot of time last night trying to upload the latest photo from my iPad to my Flcikr account - without success.

So here is a photo taken a while ago which isn't very good as it doesn't show the hand dyed effect of the fabric.

Will take a photo with the camera at the weekend and upload that :)

Will also finish the Snowflakes piece tonight so that I can date it 31 1 13 and will at last be able to update my signature.

Subtle minx Thank you for the link to the site which has the wedding ring biscornu patterns. There are some lovely designs on there but I will be sticking to the one that the bride to be has chosen (I already have the pattern so :money: as well)

I'e stitched a few biscornu - this is one of them

Wow CraftyCrafty, those ladies are amazing.

Have hit a bit of a snag with my plan to make cushions or quilts or something with the much loved but no longer worn clothes from my little grandchildren - neither of my daughters will part with them! Maybe I shouldn't have said that I needed to cut them up :D Never mind.......back to the drawing board.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

    Hi all

Wondering if I could join you all please. I have recently started cross stitch again and am really enjoying it but want to do so many projects that I need something like this to keep me disciplined and finish off something before I start something new.

My 13 projects are as follows:
    1. Lickle ted - a little love - currently stitching this one for DH for valentines (feb 13)
    2. Stargazer Lily - want to do this and make into a cushion for mums birthday (Mar 13)
    3. Flower and herb ABC - planning to do MIL name (Apr 13)
    4. Going in to the Military - collage of army vehicles for DS1
    5. Friendly Dino's - for DS2
    6. A taste of India - elephants for Dad for his Birthday (jul 13)
    7. Penguin doorstop
    8. Boys names in polar bears for xmas stockings (Dec 13)
    9. Easter cards - 4 small mouseloft kits I have had for eons (Apr 13)
    10. Finish a WIP I have had since 2004:o Winnie the pooh and Eeyore.
    11. Xmas cards - several mini kits and freebies from mags to do (Dec 13)
    12. Mini projects must do 5 to complete includes bookmark for DS1, plus 4 others from my stash of mini kits and magazine freebies

Well that should keep me busy for a while anyway.

Hi could I join please, hopefully keep me motivated

    my projects this year are
    1 photo collage
2 baby clothes quilt (already started)
3 knitted blanket for DD baby (just started)
    4 make a shoulder bag
    5 knitted cardi
    6 knitted jumper
Will have to add more later, what it is all depends on how well I get to grips with my sewing machine when I dig it out the cupboard again.

    Just updating the list
    7 50 Christmas Cards
8 fathers day cards and birthday cards for dad and hubby
    9 Penguin costume for DD

I'm sure I had thought of something else for my list but cant remember at the moment. I am really close to finishing the baby quilt, hope to finish that in the next week or two.
  • Hi all,
craftycrafty- those ladies you have cross stitched are lovely.

Have added number 5 to my list. A fabric cover for my kindle, have a leather case for it but it makes it so heavy in my handbag so I think I'll sew myself one of these.

Still not finished number one yet. Though I'm hoping to get it finished this week, if not today and upload some pics. Then remind me never to try and scrapbook again. This one will not be my new hobby :rotfl:
