  • Have now completed 2 of my projects on my 13 in 13 list :j

Snowflakes was finished on 31 1 13 and Let's Sew was completed yesterday.

Plan for the little bit of stitching time I have this week is to carry on with Stitcher's 12 days as I have allocated a piece of the pattern to be stitched each month and need to get on with February's.

Photos to follow but probably not until the weekend

Hey there, awesome thread, can I join? I don't have 13 things on my list as of yet but I've set myself the challenge of all my gifts this year to be handmade so hopefully I should be able to do this in the process?!

    So far I have:
    1) [STRIKE]Owl messenger bag (in progress)[/STRIKE] DONE 26/01/13
    2) 1st wedding anniversary papercut
    3) Clutch bag - Might change this to this bag instead - it's for my to be 19 yo cousin
    4) Skull cushion (not sure if I'm going to do it cross stitch or knitted yet - watch this space) Based on this knitting pattern - think I'm going to knit it (for my friend's birthday 09/09/13)

    5) Bath scrubs, soap, bubble bath etc hampers (christmas pressies)
    6) Mug cosies (to go with a mug & 'snowman soup'-esque hot choc - also christmas pressies)
    7) Quilt for Mum (owed from Christmas 2011  :o)
    8) Cross stitched cupcake christmas cards
    9) Hedgehog pincushion (here) & toadstool needle-book (here) - both for the same friend so I'm combining them
    10) I WILL LEARN TO KNIT SOCKS BY CHRISTMAS!!!

11-13 again I'll get back to you with!!

I'm going to be trying my hand at bath products too, and some foodie gifts, but won't be including these in the count :) xx

Decided to have thebath-y products counting but bunched in together (as they'd take up half the list!!) Desperately trying to get a design together for my papercut (due 18th Feb) but I'm having a bit of a lazy spell lately :o xx

    Thank you all.

When I get the chance I will put the list of names in alphabetical order, so it will help me out a little more, now that we are close to 50 members! :D

    Hi everyone.

Sorry for being AWOL but I was rushed in to hospital 3 weeks yesterday and was diagnosed with cervical cancer, so for the past 3 weeks I have been prodded and jabbed with needles.
Had my fist chemo treatment while I was in there, 2nd lot is due on 14th February, but I am home now!

Anyways I have managed a little catch up and I think I have added all the new people and updated peoples finishes, but if I have missed anyone please let me know, I will check in when I can :)

So sorry to hear your news. I was diagnosed with breast cancer nearly two years ago (two weeks before our wedding) so know how scary it is. Everyone on mse was very supportive and I kept up with everyone in the cafe when I didn't have the energy to actually stitch anything. Had my one year follow up just before Christmas and seeing plastic surgeon on Friday about my reconstruction so all good now.

Take care of yourself, we are all thinking of you!

I have updated the list so we are in alphabetical order, saves a lot of time for me, and I have updated people's total finishes.
If I have made an error, or deleted your name by accident, please let me know.

Thank you for the welcome back and kind wishes :D
