Great Thread
I Hate;
- Paying Motorway Service Station Prices for ANYTHING, when there is usually a supermarket very close to the next junction. :mad:
- Paying Airport Parking Fees, which rise as the cost of air travel falls.:mad: :mad:
- Paying Council Taxes, for reduced services and a monthly 'magazine' which tells me how good the council is. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
I Refuse to pay;
- Sky, or any other pay TV service, with the exception of my normal TV licence.
- 'In-store' warranty cover, when there are manufacturers' warranties AND Consumer Rights.
- For 'shoddy' or unfinished work.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Taxes any kind
Why so many countries like the UAE are tax free but we cant be ???Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0 -

the rest of the world pays their taxes for them.0 -
I hate paying for parking even when I can claim it back from work as expenses, I refuse to pay for Sky TV as it's just a load of rubbish on hundreds of channels instead of just 5.0

Great thread!
Things I refuse to pay for:
Charges at ATM machines
Expensive bottled water
£2 for a cup of coffee in a polystyrene cup
Extended warranties on electrical items
Things I hate paying for:
Petrol, car tax, car insurance, car repairs and anything else to do with running a car
Interest on my debts
Booking fees on concert tickets
Private dentistry because the Government has destroyed the NHS Dentist system
Hospital parking especially when they charge you twice for 2 visits in the same day
The war in Iraq - would love to be able to withold the portion of my taxes that is being spent there (and in Afghanistan)
Dry cleaning
The generous index linked pensions for politicians who have ensured that the majority of ordinary people will not have a decent pension
Lengthy phone calls to so called "customer service" departments where the people cannot help you when you finally get through
Things I don't mind paying for:
TV licence - the thought of ads on BBC TV or radio gives me the horrors though I resent the fact that I can no longer pay for the licence at my local post office
Prescription charges for me (DH has chronic illnesses so gets his free so it seems OK that I pay on the odd occasion I need something)0
