I hate paying income tax that then goes towards paying for people like my sisters lazy !!!! boyfriend to sit on his !!!! all day and get a nice cushty life and £18k car on benefits when I'm working my own !!!! off all hours gods sends and barely have 2 pence to rub together.

    Are we related :rotfl:

Ditto above but for my family!
I hate paying atm charges like everyone else
I hate having to spend £5 to use a debit card - I don't like carrying cash caus I spend it!
  • Most of my list has been mentioned above - council tax, tampons, tv licence fee (I love the adverts, when else can you make a cuppa or go to the loo during a good programme?!), parking, line rental when I never use the phone (only have it for broadband).

SOmething I hate that hasn't been mentioned is the extras you have to pay when buying concert tickets. If you're already spending £45 ona ticket, why the heck should you pay another £8 in processing fees, admin fees and postage?

Oh, and I hate spending money on printer ink too - hence why I print as much as possible out at work!

I'd forgotten about the kids presents! My DD is the only child in her class who has been invited to every single party since they started school in september and the other Mums keep commenting on it! It's not just that but it's difficult to get a present for <£5 that isn't crap.

Lol I've not had to do that yet... I guess it gets expensive though right?

I agree with tsharp on that one, I've just stopped giving now unless I know them well and actually care

I agree. I used to give freely but now I say no if I don't know them or like them!!!
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

I agree with the maintenance for flats. I got a letter from my management company saying that all of the flats will have double glazed windows and some work done on the fascias and gutting... advised it will cost in region of £5k per flat.

Ok fair enough... I have 6 windows but only 3 of them were replaced as I already had 3 doubled glazed... ok fair enough, i'll only pay half cos I'm only getting half. Er no... I have to pay the sane as everyone else. I argued that I wanted all windows replaced if I am saying the same... the saga goes on..

I also begrudge paying for repairs in some of the other flats. Why should I pay one ninth of the cost of someone else's maintenance issues? This really annoys me!!

Almost too many to mention - I think I just hate spending money!

Things I refuse to buy ever:-
    bottled water
    drinks in cafes
food when on a day trip - take packed lunch/picnic + flask
    parking
    sky
bedding plants - I grow my own
    first class stamps
    branded washing powder
    branded tea bags
    window cleaner
    ready meals
bought cakes - we go without if I don't have time to make them
    a new car
    a newish car
    ATM charges

Things I resent paying for but have to:-
DH tablets for life threatening condition when eg contraception is free (although I know why)
Stuff on the list above when DH buys them:mad:
£3000 university fees because oldest only paid £1200 so I have to make things 'fair' and don't know what to do
School fees because only local comprehensive has been in special measures for just too long to remember
    taxes which help keep layabouts
    booking fees
part P electrics for kitchen and bathroom when before I did them myself
commision on changing money for holidays abroad
    investment charges
Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me
