Hello everyone and happy new 2014. Had a very tiring xmas. Dad wasnt too well with a nasty chest infection that took an age to clear up, still not 100%. We spent the time shopping cooking and running around in general. Got to see a couple of friends I missed the last time round. DD is staying over until friday and DH was meant to be flying back on Thursday, all this has now changed as the clutch decided to go on the big old car whilst I was getting on the b****y ferry . Not content with having the wheelbearing replaced and a new spare tyre before we even left!! Anyway I limped home with no first gear and no reverse all the way from dublin. Not helped by 6pm traffic and high winds. DH is now driving a car we have been given by friends who replaced theirs and were offered a silly trade in price. It will cost to re register, etc etc but not a good start. Neighbour took me local shopping and then I woke up to snow, so not such a great start to 2014, hope everyone is having more luck than moi.Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Hi folks, havent been on here for what seems like an age. All ok weather is fab and looking good for the week. Weve got the second car almost sorted, reregistered, taxed and due for nct on Sunday so will be all road legal then. Its fab to have another car again, I spent yesterday cleaning it, its cleaner than the house haha:rotfl: Tax is expensive but insurance relatively cheap, cant put DS1 on it though as its a 1.8 they wont entertain him gave me an extortianate quote, he is not pleased but will have to manage with his lessons and begin saving. Hes had a few more hours at the petrol station so thats a start. Need to buy two new tryres for my little car tomorrow more money!! Otherwise all family are good DD enjoying college DS2 being a pain but I put that down to hormone changes he's 12 with the teenage attitiude :eek:Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Well got the tyres sorted only to be told I need ball joint on the wishbone replacing. Another job to be done tomorrow as the test is Sunday and it wouldnt pass with that. More money I suppose. Just emptied the stove and realised the ashmaster thingy we bought in November hasnt been working, so cleaned the filter and still nothing. Ive dug out the receipt and will be returning it today, if i get my money back it can pay for the car part!
Still sunny if a bit windy, hope everyone has a good weekend. Happy St Patricks Day for monday.:D:beer:Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

Weather glorious today just been for a walk with the mutt. Must do more of that instead of drinking tea, eating biscuits and generally slobbing about. My excuse for that the past week has been that DH had been in the uk visiting his folks. Nice break he got back tuesday and yesterday we had another row about living here and the debt in general no money etc etc. He wants us to sell and move and maybe rent, I know all the debt would be gone but it would cost even more to rent than the mortgage and DS1 is doing his leaving cert next year. Dont get me wrong Im not averse to moving but not just yet! Anyway he went to docs this morning and his blood pressure is the best its been in years and now he's gone off to pay his b****y golf fees and hit a couple of balls as his job doesnt start till Monday!! if you please!! Also he's going to sell the sign equipment and go back on the joinery tools!! MEN :eek::eek: Sorry for the rant peeps but he's out now and boy is the place calmer.:rotfl:Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. A good row might help. Do hope things get easier for you. If you fancy escaping you can come here but you must bring the poly tunnel!
