Thanks folks probably the only place I feel I can let it out if you know what i mean. Weather pants today, banking done all looking ok, hoping to get back to wales for my neice's (last minute) wedding. 6 wks notice wasnt the best and as were going over for xmas anyway looks like only myself and DS2 might make the trip, too expensive for all of us. Anyway trying not to think too much about it as have nothing to wear and hair needs doing, I can hear the pennies falling out of the car account!!!! Think its only a small registry office do so should be nice and as she is my only neice would be a shame not to go.

Quick update. Have booked to go back to wales later this month with DS2 as he is the only one not doing tests, college etc etc. Havent told him yet as the excitement would drive us all mad lol. DH put the stove in yesterday (the one he got instead of payment) its looks good but as he also swept the chimney Ive been up to my neck in soot most of the morning (lovely) the lounge is now almost clean, covers in the wash and floors mopped so its a real good job done. Were putting the smaller stove in OHs office which was our old lounge so once the chimney is done it will go straight in.
Looking forward to the wedding and my friend is supplying the outfit I just have to pick something from her bigger than mine wardrobe!! Were going by train and boat (the longer sailing) it was a bit cheaper and will sail whatever the weather so I thought that was the best option means we will be longer travelling but that doesnt matter it will be an adventure for DS2. Have found a cv joint for the car on the internet so will be ordering that this week just fingers crossed everything else stays good. Just had an update on DD's boyfriend and they have ruled out the dreaded C so were all delighted just more tests to get to the bottom of what is the matter. All good here just cleaning :(

Very frosty here this morning but the sun is out and it looks glorious. Ned has a full bag of hay and has now stopped complaining!! DD at work DH gone to golf and car is in having cv joint done. Im off to wales on Wednesday hope the weather is ok, and have booked the longer sailing as I know for sure the boat will sail and not be cancelled as the quicker ones sometimes are. Moneywise not too bad but have another trip for xmas to book, get `10% off if I can book by Wednesday this week, so may have to borrow a bit from DD. Still trying to get her top up grant sorted (more hoops to jump through) makes me mad when the so called experts havent read the legislation and get things wrong. (Too many years working for the civil service mean Im a stickler for getting it right for people) especially those on low incomes like moi. Fingers crossed we'll get there. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Ps I have conceeded and ordered the oil its so b****y cold!!;)

Well Im back as of late last night. So glad we weren't sailing today!!Weather is awful. Wedding was well lets say not what I was expecting, groom had to go home ill, and venue was not great not many turned up etc etc. Anyway all ok now and bride and groom seem happy so thats the main thing. Nice to be back home, had a long day yesterday so have the washing in and just chilling today, not even got dressed yet. DS2 is doing some homework and will be back at school tomorrow. DH has been a star and looked after Ned very well even sorted the stable lighting out and has fitted me a tap. He said Im an angel not complaining about such things but as he's been doing it the past week he sorted it. "perhaps I should go away more often":rotfl: The only thing he did not tackle was the washing so thats not so bad. Hope everyone hasnt blown away.

That's great when they do jobs without having to be asked repeatedly. I was fed up as the bathroom tap was constantly dripping (more like a waterfall) and to add insult to injury it was the hot one. SO the other day I said I would ask X to come and do it (a friends husband) lo and behold it was mended!!!

Mr P sorted out a job that has needed doing for ages. A hinge had come off the gate and it was really heavy to open and shut without it. While I was out at my Christmas lunch yesterday he mended it. Without being asked :)

It must be the season of OH's doing jobs without being asked :D

DS1 had his 18th birthday yesterday, a bit emotional for me even though I didnt think it would affect me! He was in school for the day but enjoyed his cards and few pressies. Our pressie is paying for his driving lessons and test etc (very mse and not very exciting but hey ho) He is getting a nice watch from my mum and dad when we go to wales next week so that will be a nice surprise. I asked him what he wanted for tea expecting the normal party tea scenario but he opted for madras curry and rice, we have come a long way since he was only ever interested in sunday dinners !:rotfl: So curry it was and very nice too. Today Im finishing wrapping a few things and making more mince pies the 3 doz made on saturday were gone by tuesday morning!!! Gannits in this house. Hope everyone is keeping warm, weather horrid here today.:(
