in the bottom left i get to see the app things as i have windows 8

without the jargon - what do i need to find out?

my network is an option noe - it has been since page one - however i cannot connect... i click to, and computer just says no... (it does think about it for m oment but still no happy dance)...

You need to find out if the wireless service is running. If it is stopped or disabled you will never get a wifi connection. Step 4 will tell you (us).

Ok, I've downloaded the zip. When you extract it there's a folder with exactly the same name. Open the folder and it contains 39 files. Scroll down the file list until you find the one called Setup. Double click it to install.

i thought you would say that but was clutching at straws...

when i press the windows key (that i had to google ) and the x key my ears bleed.
