Hi everyone, I've just posted on the January thread as my month finishes tomorrow, pay day (thank goodness!). I'm very, very happy to still have £90 in my purse out of my £250 budget but I will not get complacent. I know this is the first month and my enthusiasm and motivation are high. As well as the help I've enjoyed from all you kind posters, I have joined other threads which have helped keep me on the straight and narrow too and filled my head with soooo much information.

February is going to be a real test as it will be a REALLY tight month. I've road tax, car insurance, my nephew's 18th, my neices 21st. Most of it saved for already but just in case something unexpected happens. So I would like to go for £175 this month.

    Take care all x

    Hi all!

Would it be possible to join in the challenge? I haven't done a grocery challenge for over a year now and, whilst I have cut down on food shopping a lot recently thanks to other challenges I'm doing, I need to keep myself focussed on my food spends.

I'm aiming for £55 a week, try to just shop once a week on Thurs so I'm looking at £210 til next payday (15th Feb) starting today. However, Hubby is going shoppping ON HIS OWN tonight as I'm working. I've given him a list including prices so we'll see how he does.
  • Could I be popped down for £200 for February please?

Oh that I might stick to it this time!

I'd like to join in for February please. Please put me down for £200.

My aim is to draw the money out in cash and not use my debit card at all for food.

    thanks

PS forgot to say, there's just me, hubby, one huge dog and three cats

Well it looks like I'm going to come in well under my £300 for Jan (it was a wild guess what I spent as this is my first challenge!)

BUT Feb is going to be tough as I won't have a kitchen for most of it! (Being redone)

So please put me down for £250 as I'm sure I'll buying more convenience food (still cheaper than take outs)

    Good luck everyone

I've just done my last post on the January challenge (payday tomorrow) and I came in just a shade over budget which I am totally thrilled about.
February will still be tight so I am going to shave a bit off the dhet and go for 380 euros for 5 people, a dog and cat and all our cleaning toiletries.
I am going to try and go to the farms round here a but more and get my veg direct - it's a bit more expensive but probably worth it.
    Trying to keep in budget.

Hello again all - please can you put me down for £300 again? I'm still in January until the end of the month, but I'll try to keep up with reading the posts in this month as well.

Thanks to everyone who keeps the thread up and running - Zippychick, Bluegreen and Coxy - sorry if I've missed anyone!
