Was going to work out how much a portion of veg is by counting the amount of portions I would get out of it - for potatoes by weight as I weigh them and for carrots I use about 3 for a meal so will figure out how many portions I get out of a bag. It's going to be a work in process so happy to share ideas and tips ^_^
I have just looked up a five a day chart and it says that on average a portion of fruit and veg is 80g,so a kg would give 12.5 portions.

Been to icy to pick up chorizo for HM pizza toping and milk, plus olive oil from Mossy's Market.
Spent £3
Being very domestic this evening made two homemade pizza bases today, topped one which we had for tea and par-baked the other one which I will pop in the freezer for another day. Also have some dough proving ready to turn in to wholemeal cheesy topped rolls for lunch boxes!Speaking of which I better sort that dough out!!

Hi everyone:)
I am still on January until the weekend but it has been such a long month I just couldn't resist stepping into February!
As it will be a 4 week month I am going to really challenge myself and will be going for £160.
This will be for the four of us and the cat and needs to include all food, toiletries and cleaning stuff.
I hope this is doable as the freezer and basics are well stocked and I got some good bulk buys on loo roll in January. If we can stick to that it will really help us out as we have car insurance coming up soon.
Look forward to seeing you all here after the weekend.
