    Evening all :)

Just updating my spends and then i'll catch up with the thread as i've gotten behind these past few days.

Sent DP out after work Monday as we were out of bread for the next day and he came back with lots of things for breakfast the next day from Mr A. Haven't got the reciept, but estimating around £10 for these purchases (bread, eggs, bacon, sausages etc). Next time i'll remember to buy the bread myself ;)

Weekly shop in Morrisons on Wednesday and spent £63.96, but this should last til next Thursday excluding money spent on the usual bread, milk top ups. Will be shopping in Morrisons again next week as i'm trying to collect the vouchers for £10 off end of the month shop they are doing atm.

Today i spent £3.60 in Wilko on bubble bath, handwash, face wipes and cotton balls mostly stocking up for when baby arrives.

I also need to cut down on buying snacks whilst out and about and try to take food with me rather than buying. This doesn't come out of my shopping budget, but i notice i'm frittering away alot of money here and there. Started off well with taking drinks/snacks with me during the day earlier this year, but since getting paid i've got back into bad habits.

Off to update signature. Hope everyones had a good day!

    Suze :)

I may have been a bit naughty? It was my housemates turn to cook, but I volunteered to chop the veg for the stir fry, because I saw a on the turn (perfectly fine, just wrinkly) chilli which needed using up desperately which I knew would be thrown away by him otherwise.

He thought I was doing a good deed, but in actual fact I just didn't want food thrown away! :rotfl: Oh well - I guess I wouldn't complain if someone volunteered to do work for me (which, having said that, would never happen, because my kitchen is my castle!)

That's what I was thinking, and you know what, dinner was lovely! :D

I only manage to do well on months I eliminate waste (ie every morsel of food is eaten). I do wish that I got better whoopsies like you though - my spends would shoot right down if I could stock up on yellow sticker items. :)

  • Hi everyone,

Spent $$ on bday pressies for my friends kids on thursday so not a nsd but its not from my grocery budget so I dont think I'll factor it in,, But I need to come up with a bit more of a plan for my savings
I did have a nsd yesterday :j I was hoping to have one today but i do need bread and milk at some point either today or tomorrow.

On a personal note,, even though I've only been back on the forum for about a week now I've already noticed changes in the way I think about what I'm cooking/buying I'm making do alot more instead of running out to the shops ,, thanks everyone for the motivation :T:T:T
