Well Feb not going so well as we have no kitchen so cooking options limited....and tending to buy more rubbish. On the plus side we have managed to invite ourselves round to quite a few friends over the next few weeks so dinner will just cost us a bottle of wine!0

Did the weekly shop today and made the mistake of not eating first - ended up spending about £10 more than planned.:o
It will all get eaten though:rotfl:
I did have to get washing liquid and fabric conditioner, kitchen roll, laminate floor cleaner and a few other household bits and pieces - about £10 altogether.
Total spend was £32 taking my total up to almost £74 but there's plenty in the freezer and cupboards now.
I got a £6 off a £40 spend voucher too but its only valid until next weekend. I may try writing a list of everything I could buy that's non-perishable that would last me until the end of the month and see whether I could get enough to see me through using the voucher so I'd only have to buy F&V otherwise.
Will I stick to it or will I end up spending twice as much? Hmmmm....0 -

Have you ever thought of growing your own? Stock up on seed and a bit of compost now (use soup tins with holes knocked in the bottom or toilet paper tubes/mushroom/strawberry punnets with compost as pots!) and grow any greens you'd like for the bunny. We have a container of lettuce growing right now for our two bunnies in the bottom section of a milk jug. I found some rocket seed today as well! Spoilt bunnies for the win! :rotfl:
Spinach and radishes are also quite easy to grow. Leaf lettuce is much easier to grow and quicker to grow than head lettuce. Also, if you put the base end of a head of lettuce, a bunch of celery, and a myriad of other types of scrap veg in a bit of water it will regrow. I've got four heads of romaine/cos lettuce, quite a few carrot tops and parsnip tops regrowing now for the bunnies. Carrots and parsnips won't regrow the tap root, but they will regrow the greens.
Hope this helps!0 -

Thank you:T Funnily enough I am hoping to pop to the Garden Centre tomorrow and pick up some seeds. We can't go on like this -he is eating about a quarter of our monthly GC budget:eek:
I really struggle at this time of year because there are none of the usual herby bits in the garden and he's a really veggie kind of bunny:cool:
Do you use a greenhouse or just grow on the windowsill?Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

DH wanted to nip into M&S when we want past today on the way to spend his birthday money on some trainers. Bought fruit and my favourite parmentier potatoes and walnut whips:o on offer and £10 meat offer. I really like the sausages in M&S that come in the trays of 20 and they are gluten free:). I haven't been able to get them the last few times I went in so got 60 sausages for a tenner:rotfl:
This spend means I have gone over budget and am now at £408.21 out of a £400 budget. My month ends tomorrow night and I do not think I will spend anymore. DH is on a rare night out tonight and if he wants a Maccy dees tomorrow to feed his hangover he can pay for it himself:rotfl:
I am pleased with my spends this month even if I am slightly over budget as I have stocked up on 6 months worth of soap powder, the 60 sausages and have over 2 weeks of dog food and 24 toilet rolls in the cupboards too.
I am going to cut my budget next month, just not sure how much by yet.
I really need to list my freezers and use up some of the older stuff. I don't eat fish and DH eats it rarely as he has to be in the mood for it but there is about 4 different flavoured salmon fillets and some salmon fish cakes that need eating so I am going to feed it to him once a week;). It's odd because DS (nearly 3) loves fish so I may try him on the fish cakes too.:)
Tomorrow DS and I are having GF apple and cinnamon pancakes with banana, strawbs and maple syrup for breakfast. We need a big breakfast as DS is at a party 12 until 3 so I am not sure when he will get fed. Toad in the hole with roast pots and lots of frozen veg and gravy for tea. Not sure what we will have for pud, possibly tinned rice pudding with a big blob of value jam:DSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
