Just got back from Aldi and the Co-op - spent 75p on 6 kiwi fruit marked down in the Co-op and £2.07 on mushrooms and bananas in Aldi. I dispise the fact that yesterday the family pack of mushrooms in Aldi were £1.19 yesterday (they were out) and are now £1.39 (with a handwritten sign no less!!!)

I got a punnet of kiwi fruit the other day when shopping and when i opened them 2 of the 6 were a bit past their best  however rather than throw them out i have just used them to make kiwi cheesecake :D

For dinner I am making some potatoes (bought on whoopsie) broccoli, cauliflower and venison with cranberry sausages - never had these before and i saw them in the butchers so thought i would try them!

    Cheesecake for afters obviously :)

No spends for me for 2 days :)

I was a bit bad and went to Costa today - needed to leave the office so spent £2.75 on a soya latte...

Housemates turn to cook tonight - chicken, butternut squash and pak choi stir fry.

Then tomorrow I go back to my parents for my mums birthday so will probably get a sandwich for the train. :o

Still doing okay this month, although stocks are getting a bit limited. Holding out for a free delivery code/discount delivery voucher before I do my next online shop.

Went to Morri$on’s today and brought carrots, cabbage, leeks, tomatoes and watercress. Total spent was £10.05

Also had my meat order delivered costing £46.00 this has now been portioned up and frozen, I estimated there was at least 36 meals worth. Freezers are both full again now. This is NOT out of GC budget but when I use anything I take a set amount from the budget and save it towards the next lot of meat. Works for us.

Tonight we are having Pork Yuk Sung using some of the pork with a watercress, radish and tomato salad.

For lunch there was an odd concoction but it tasted surprisingly good - some left over rice and curry from last night and also half a tin of tomato soup, so in true MSE fashion I mixed them all up and added some more curry spices and it was very tasty. :D

We have grand children all day tomorrow and will be baking chocolate chip sticks, malt loaf and some other biscuits.
Have a lovely weekend everyone think its going to be a cold one though.

Al.. were out of Cranberry juice - the only thing on my list that I came home without. :(Al.. is certainly busier than it used to be. Out of the 19 items on my till receipt - 11 of them were veggies. One was tea bags - not essential today but on offer - 50% extra. I also got the 98p butter for baking.
Off to update my sig and my stock list on computer.

I have noticed that too but I have been trying to Avoid the place because of an evening there has been a regular begger Sat outside I feel so bad when I walk passed him so I make sure I go in the morning

Phew!! Things not looking so good. Maybe I shouldn't have started the challenge this month!! We are going to be away for the whole of March, and I am finding that I am buying food that I see at the right price, and storing it to take with us...So I am going to withdraw from the challenge for now. I will rejoin once we are back and I am on an even keel again. Good luck everyone, I shall need the discipline even more so when we back home..so see you all then..

Did the rest of the weekly shop at ald1 and M&S at the new retail park I found on my way home from work. Spent £16.86 in ald1 and £5.50. Would have been a bit less but I bought a couple of snack treats.

Was worried I was going to go over but only have 2 days left so should be under.:)
