Last shop for Feb this morning and have added all that needs adding and came in well under budget £175.70 out of £250 so £74.30 left. Really pleased with this :j
I had 16 NSD which have obviously helped.
24.28% was on fruit & veg. this was by far the largest percentage but I feel needs to be increased. Rubbish such as crisps, biscuits, cakes etc came to 0.95% so happy about that statistics.
Hope everyone had a good Feb and for those who didn’t at least you tried and there’s always March.
Wishing everyone well for March.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
So it comes to my last post of the month - £1.60 spent on veg in Co-op.
I'm extremely pleased to report that I spent a grand total of £75.01/£130, so just 58% of my budget!
This is mainly because I've really being concentrating on using my stock cupboard and fridge contents. It's going down slowly, but I still have a way to go to use up quite a few jars of chutneys and mustards (why are they always given as Xmas presents?!) in the fridge as well as spices and condiments in the cupboard. It's resulting in some different (and tasty) meals, which will probably never be repeated, because once all the 'unusual' items are used up (bought for one recipe in the past and stayed in the fridge/cupboard ever since), I'll be sticking to a core group spices/herbs etc which can be used in a variety of meals.
Anyway - enough of my rambling - off to March and well done everybody! :TGrocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

I've gone over too but not by too much - if I'd have gone shopping tomorrow instead I'd have been fine! I knew it was tight going with a £280 amount but it was worth giving it a go.
Think for next month I'll go back to £300 and then perhaps bring it down £5 a month.

Evening, just popped on to report a final spend for February of £8.68 at Mr M. That takes my total for February to £170.19, way more than I spent in January, oddly. My total so far this year is £335.61, with £1,464.39 remaining for the rest of the year. Let's see how it goes!
See you on the March thread!
