    Hi everyone,

Last day of my Feb GC. £19.60 going into 2nd purse for items used this week, giving a total for Feb of £395.31/£450. A short month and a weeks holiday, with seperate funds for this, added to my success this month.

This is my final post for February. Anyone wishing to post up a budget for March's GC please do so on the March thread - big and red if possible please :A

Had to grab a couple of bits from Aldi on Sunday, which took me up to £159.82 - leaving 18p in my budget with 4 days to go.

I've managed not to spend anything on Monday or Tuesday so I just need to see if I can get through the next two days without any spending.

Got through yesterday, and don't need to buy food today, so as long as I can resist temptation of the lunchtime chocolate bar or can of pop, I'll hit my target. I'm quite amazed if I'm honest, considering that I'd used over 3/4 of my budget 2 weeks into the challenge
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done

  • Well a quick update as I spent a bit more today, down at the market:(, but on the plus point i`m still under budget:D.

I haven`t been to the market for months and was just going to have a browse, but I did get a dozen delish looking sausages from the butchers van for £4, Rolls and a LARGE cherry pie from the bakers van and some other snacky bits from the cheap stall.

I also did a shop both at Ald. and MrT yesterday, as I can`t get there tomorrow, but this is coming out of my march budget, as it`s next weeks food. I`ve also got a sack of spuds coming later, but again out of the march budget. I`ll update that later. Anyway final farewell now and catch you all over at the march thread.

  • Hello everyone

It's a lovely bright morning (still a bit chilly) and I'm catching up with things quite well this morning.

As it's the last day of the month and I'm not going out it's another NSD (not needed to buy anything all week) and I can declare on £347.99 I am so pleased that the first official month has come in just under budget :).

I think lot of that is down to the pre-join lurking for hints and tips before taking the plunge, and hope I can be organised enough to continue improving on it.

Thanks to you all for the support, help and welcome on here, it feels even better now I've joined in a bit.

Off to update sig then move over to March, see you there.

  • WOW for the first time since Nov I have come in under budget. Now the problem is now that i am off on holiday for next week and I tend to food shop like there is no tomorrow. I must be strong lol

Last day of my month challenge and plesed to report I'm in under budget at €567.76/€600!!

Off to join the March challenge and debating with myself if I should try to reduce the budget - even a fiver a week would be a help!

after my celebrations in coming under budget last month i am sorry to say i am over budget for the shortest month of the year. i blame a certain giant supermarket chain of course for leading me astray. plus i did 'accidentally' order a veg box for last saturday instead of this coming saturday cos i was in a rush.
