Spends in Iceland £5, Lidl £33.31, & Mr T £13.58. Sig updated, well in target. I did well at Mr T buying YS bread at 14p and a cu for 16p, Cauli 18p. I read on one of the boards that buying things in the ethnic aisle was cheaper so I gave it a go last night at Mr T. Chilli flakes triple the amount but the same price as spice aisle and the huge bag of lentils was so much cheaper.
I saw a recipe for cheese and lentil loaf so will give it a go.My secret fantasy is having 2 men....

January 23, you are doing very well indeed!
Rightio, went to morries today and i think (cant find the receipt now i want it) that it came to £23 and a few pence. Got lots of fruit, bread, milk etc and i don't think we need anything else for the next few days, or maybe even a week.
So far we a up to £317 spent on groceries for 3 and also (quite expensive by comparison to run of the mill stuff) dog food since january 1st, so i think we are on track. Seems to average out at about £50 a week, if i did my maths right!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Will be staying with Feb challenge until 2nd March so one more weekend shop to go and have £42.11 left in the budget.
My name is Chellie and I'm a grocery shopaholic! This challenge has helped me so much. Last week for example I spent £56.41 in A***, a big shop by some of your standards I know, but for me nothing short of a miracle! Previously I spent £100+ every Saturday regardless of what I already had in.
Next month I plan to do even better. Thank you grocery challenge members for helping me mend my ways and showing me the way to write a menu plan and a list.Feb GC £487.53/£490
March GC £435/£4000 -
morning all,
its the end of week 3 and another £68.96 spent during the week.
£38.72 in aldi on my main shop
£22.23 in morrisons (only went in for a sack of spuds but took advantage of some YS meat, and a dented box of iams, 40 sachet box)
£8.01 in sainsburys (on mozerella and over the counter remedies)
a bit more than i wanted to spend but its has evened out with my underspends. total £193.27 spent so far. leaving me just under £50 for next week which is more than do-able!
im off to a$da next week for £1 warburtons, and i'm going to be stocking up on some offers for march whilst i'm there.
its really bugs me that a$da dont put end dates on their offers. its makes me so anxious when i find a good offer because i have to get it straight away in case its not on offer when i go next!! E.g i went out new years day to stock up on the £1 warburtons in case it didnt last and now nearly 8weeks later its still £1! but other offers (coffee etc.) only last a week or 2.0 -
Florenceem - that chicken kiev meal looks lovely and has reminded me how much I enjoy roasted beetroot so will try to get some tomorrow.
Felt better today so went to Ald! Spent all together £34.88 and this includes some items I have brought from my stockpile. Will need some fruit & veg tomorrow when go to Morry’s
Tea tonight is Lamb Henry with mashed swede, roast parsnips, sprouts and carrots. DH will have potatoes instead of the swede as he not that keen on it. Lamb was from the depths of the freezer and its good to see some items that have been in a while getting used.
Meal plans done to end of the month so will have to start thinking of March soon.
Will nip over to the March thread now to read before its too long to catch up although here till the end of month and will decide on a target.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Added £70 from shop at Mr L,s - did include 3lts wine and a huge amount of meat, should last a monthNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300
