Another £20 spend to report yesterday, today was a NSD but need a couple of bits tomorrow...OH in Paris which is why Im spending more at the moment :(
Feeding 6 Adults 1 Teen a 8 year old with hollow legs and a very fussy 5 year old. Also 3 cats and 3 fishies
To include all Food,Toiletries and Petfood.
  • I could see myself heading towards 'overspend' & so have avoided going to the shops unless really necessary! Today I had to get bread & milk - pretty essential! Otherwise, though, it has meant no 'weekly' shop for the last 10 days of GC!

We have been living out of the fridge (nearly bare) & freezer! Today I had the kids make oat & dark chocolate cookies so that they had some snacks because, obviously, they are constantly 'starving' as we are in half term!

Tonight's tea was pizza, S-W chips & beans (no pizza for me as I am loosely following S-W & so had 2 poached eggs instead). The pizzas were buy 1, get 2 free, a couple of weeks ago & so £3.50 for 3! I don't tend to buy anything ready-made for dinners but it is always handy to have something in for days when inspiration is nowhere to be found! :rotfl:

Tomorrow, both DDs are going to the cinema & then TGIs for a friend's Birthday (very nice) and so just me & DH to feed. I have got some leftover turkey out in preparation. I've just got to decide what to do with it. Most likely to be a curry but still looking for the perfect recipe!

    :)

Monthly total now at €161.09, which leaves me just about enough to buy milk and eggs until the end of the month....not sure what is around in line of main meal protein but whatever it is will have to do....

    Good afternoon all

Hope you are having a good week and keeping warm.

Final shop of the month now done total of £95.97 with the bread & milk top up of £3.79 on Tuesday we shouldn't need anything else before March.

Will wait until end of the month before declaring but I think we will be just under budget @ £347.99. Hurray!

Paid for the shopping in cash today for the first time in years, usually it goes on a debit card (lately the credit card) so don't actually see it being spent IYSWIM. Definitely more 'real' paying by cash, and hoping it will make me think even more about what we spend.

We are well stocked and so I'm hoping we can have a minimal spend month in March. Already seen a difference in the spending habits and aim to improve and reduce as far as possible. Will keep reading the OS board for more ideas and inspiration.

Off to sort out some things for listing, as decluttering continues.

Keep up the good work everyone.
