  • Sorry cant help with the ferries as we are doing 7 nights fri-fri. Dont know how it would work with 10 nights, but i'm sure someone on here will have done it before and know!
As regards to staying on the other paris sites, have you looked at la croix du vieux pont or le chen gris. I dont know if they will be available for your dates. la croix in particular is very popular.
It would mean a much shorter drive from international to either of these sites.
We stayed at le chene last october, and going to la criox this year.

Hello I have a few questions if anybody would be so kind to answer and see if you think this is a good idea
We are looking at taking the kids to eurodisney and I have checked on the sun site with my code looks like we could get 3 nts at the Paris International then we could get 7 nt's at the Le Clarys-Plage in the vendee region(will have to buy anotherr code but still works out cheaper than brochure price )been the area about 14 yrs ago think it would be ideal for the children , there is a lot of car travelling but my DS and DP are petrified of flying so its the only real way of travelling .

I am north west thinking of stopping night before in hotel travelling to calais ,when you book ferry do you have to do exact dates of the holiday booked through the sun ? with me adjoining the 2 holidays to make 10 nights dont know if it would be cheaper to try and arrange my own ferry if this is the case ?

Who are the french sites with is it Eurocamp ?

would be great if anybody could help as I say we did the drive to the Vendee region years ago but that was pre kids ,don't know if we are setting ourselves up for major hassle with a 2 and 7 year old ,would any other areas be nice nearer Paris to stay ?

    Hi,

i cannot comment on the Vendee, as we have never been to that part of France

For a site to " do Disney" then Le Chene Gris is closest and fab as a base ,as it's only 15 mins drive away.
We stayed there one time and literally used it as a place to sleep, and spent all the days at Disney !

La Croix Du Vieux Pont we have been to 3 times and it's a fab site with loads to do ,it's an easy 1 hours drive to Disney.

We tend to use Tesco Clubcard deals and go via Eurotunnel, instead of the ferry

The SUN holidays in Europe aren't only Eurocamp, they can be Siblu, Vacance Soleil etc
Most of the time ( we have been going since 2006) is has been Eurocamp though

I agree. International is not great for kids. The location is central Paris but it has no pool and a steep hill on exiting the campsite to the metro. It's fine for exploring Paris but i'd recommend la croix Du vieux pont. Great site - lots to do on site fr kids and easy to explore Paris and Disney. H campsite puts on buses for both on alternate days so you don't need to drive.

We typically get there via euro tunnel too.
  • Hello,

I applied by post for the first time this year.

I posted on the monday when then 10th token came out in the sun, it has been delivered as i got confirmation by royal mail tracking.

    hi sweetie
well we like early morning travel so we can arrive early
so ferry to dunkerque / calais and a leisurely drive down

we drive a lot in europe and Belgium has beautiful roads to zip down on so we'll go that way
my mom is coming with us as she's a party girl lol :rotfl:

we are just wondering if we'll stay an extra night and do shopping in france by the port or pop over to Germany as my mom loves shopping in Germany !
I stayed at the Luxemburg camp couple of years back it was lovely very small, didnt have many vans, most of the site people with own campervans. There isnt much around the site, but easy to use as a base and was only something like 30mins to Germany, there was also a shopping area on border of luxemburg and france.

Hi missyp123. I also applied by post for the first time this year, and just sent first class not recorded. Cheque still wasn't cashed on my account today, but have come home to an email from Haven confirming my booking, so don't lose heart just yet. We got our 3rd choice hol and 4th choice date, although we were able to be flexible so really didn't mind when or where we went. Our dates were outside of school holidays as our little one is only three.

Hope that helps you a bit, fingers crossed you get your hol.
:hello:Hello and thanks to all you gorgeous MSErs posting comps, answers and advice xx

Email confirmations are only sent to priority code bookers. (Edit - didn't know they sent out 'unsuccessful' email codes, I have had a similar letter sent.) But as your money has been cashed I think it's fairly safe to say you have been allocated a holiday...not sure if you contacted them whether they'd be able to tell you which but seems possible.

Following on from my other post, i have today received email confirmation of my booking. We're booked into Haven Devon Cliffs over the easter weekend. Am sooooo excited as this will be my first time on a sun holiday.

    Has anyone been before??

    Thnx for ur help
