I'm going to save the clubcard vouchers for the tunnel too :)

Have you been to Brittany before? I can recommend Le Ranolien in northern Brittany and Les Menhirs in southern Brittany, both lovely and I'd like to go back there some time.

I know what you mean about Italy. I'd love to go there but it might be more than I can afford.
Loved Le Ranolien, and really looking forward to Les Menhirs this yr :)

The tunnel is fab,so quick and easy :)

a lot of places you can just get transfer, you won't need to hire car

Thanks. Yes we will be looking at sites where you dont need to hire a car.
Unfortunatley the one i fancy in spain bella nova is a bit off the beaten track and car hire is advised to get to beaches etc.., although i'm sure there are others i wouldn't need a car for.
Also, some italian ones may well be doable without a car, and looking at portugese sites as well to do carless.
The other issue is the flights!
When i'm booking a holiday I book flights as soon as they are released for the dates i want as they just go up in price.
Having to wait till january to book means they are much more expensive.!
If i was booking to book now for may to bar elona for example or even reus which is usally cheaper, i would be paying upwards of £500 for three of us.
Flights to faro are even more expensive!:(

that's interesting because Le Ranolien for me was lovely but I wouldn't go back there. But time to try a different country now I think, perhaps switzerland, croatia .
