tory lies about jobseekers

I love the stupidity here, ok my info is not to your requirements, but my info is to state that the poor, sick and unfortunate are being made to suffer whilst the rich benefit from them.
Having a job does not make any one more morally decent.
As for quoting my royal family info, am I wrong they are worth billions? am I wrong they are living off of taxpayers?
You are hoping to put me down and prove me wrong, I asked about how you felt and did you care that politicians and royalty benefit from your taxes, I also asked if you believed them more deserving, you neglect to answer them.
quoting my words back at me, is amusing, you are sheeple and listen to lies, not the people whom suffer.
What a tragic time we live in.
I would love to know why people whom love to slate the benefit system are within these topic pages? it is supposed to be an advice forum to help save money.

You accuse others of being sheeple! Perhaps you should question the figures you read before you post them.
I consider myself to be very fortunate. My disability is minor. I've been able to work most of my life. I've been able to help others around me. Am I perfect? No, of course not.
I am super-angry that the international and UK tax laws allow some companies and individuals to escape paying their dues. But the tax code was built up over both colours of Government. That has to be fixed. But alongside that, we have to find a way of balancing our budget in the medium term, or we will be in even less of a position to help the poor, needy and unfortunate. Its very easy to give the money away - its much less easy to create a sustainable future country. I think that both Labour, Conservative and Libdem are all out of their depth and we've even squandered the benefit of North Sea Oil - we should have been investing that money.
Instead, we're seeing company after company bought up by the Chinese and Indians (and others). That's because we keep running a balance of payments deficit. Those countries end up with UK£ which they need to spend - so they buy our companies with them. That creates a problem as the purchaser wants to repatriate their profits - so making the balance of payments worse. At some point we'll have nothing left they want to buy. We'll have mortgaged or sold everything we have.
In part, our problems come from MPs going straight into politics instead of into work first. Many of them could hardly run a teashop, let alone a country.
In part, its because we've been paying ourselves too much relative to what we produce as a country for about 30 years. The world does not owe us a living. They do not have to keep buying our debt. And we'll be in a real crisis if they stop buying.
I do not want to see a system which creates injustice. I believe that Frank Field (Labour) and Iain Duncan Smith (Conservative) both see the problem, and have great aspirations to fix it. But part of that is getting people working - producing something of value which others (especially other countries) want to buy.0 -
PS. I would love to see a law which says that the highest paid person in a company can only be paid 20 times the wage of the lowest paid. That really would be revolutionary!0

Everyone agrees that unemployed people should be working but what do you do when theres hardly any jobs to force them into?.There are not loads of jobs available.
Look at the high streets, its all charity shops, cash conveter/shop a check type places or they are boarded up etc.Pubs are closing right left and centre and town centres are not doing as well do to the recession and the internet.Public services are cut, so where are all these jobs people should be doing?0 -
When I'm down, I find that a sense of perspective helps. These poor people!

If it didn't suit you wouldn't apply for it unless made to and even so if you get a job offer you have to take it.
I am furious that I can not even get interviews for basic stuff as over qualified.
But if there were no JSA, you'd take a job just to survive, wouldn't you?
Fair point about being overqualified though. That must suck. Good luck I hope you get something soon.0 -

For the person who got a job in Switzerland, it must have been well worth his while to relocate there. It will not have been a NMW job thats for sure. You are talking about a high level job.
Also regarding getting 3 buses to and from work, a lot of employers want people who are not going to have issues with travel and will employ locally for low paying jobs first. So the job centre might send a person but its often waisting their time anyway.
Also is a bit much David Cameron saying things about welfare claimants when hes claimed benefits himself with all his money. When he had a disabled son he claimed DLA for him, which he was entitled too. Was he a benefit scrounger to then? or was it different for him?
Yes, obviously it is a well paid job. His wife and kids still live here, he lives in hotels and sees them once a month.
Just pointing out that having a bit of travelling is nothing to moan about when you don't see your family for weeks on end.
Nothing wrong with claiming benefits. I've done so in the past. If you're entitled to them, claim them. I don't have a problem with that at all. Especially for those who work hard, and have fallen on hard times. In fact, I've got a big issue that JSA is so poor - for instance, in the past, I've gone from £700 a week to £71 a week JSA. How am I supposed to pay my mortgage?
What I do have an issue with is people who play the system. Its called Job Seekers Allowance which means its paid to you while you seek a job. Some people have never worked, don't want to work, and never intend to work. They are benefit scroungers.0 -
