    Absolutely agree.

Despite having two jobs I can still struggle financially and I recently missed a month's Council Tax.

Bang! Within a few days of that month ending I had a threatening letter off my council to bring my account up to date or face court action!

Spongers don't understand this, they just take, take, take!

And now they're coming from Spain to bleed us dry!

    Unbelievable.

They hid from their debts thinking they will never have to pay them. That includes CT, I know a few who have moved out of the CT area with the idea that they wouldn't have to pay what they owe and do the same in the new area. I :rotfl: when they get found! It's not just CT but any credit they can get their hands on too.

I'm not saying everyone is like this just the chav/trash.

I really cant see that happening. This country would be full of people living on the streets and turning to crime. Lets hope you never need to claim any benefits hey???

Hmmm, why ? It has happened in Spain where they threw your daughter and irresponsible and workshy son in law out on the streets. Did they turn to crime ?

I also hope I never ever have to suffer the indignity of claiming benefits. For the past 20 years I have paid in a lot. Last month my take home was £7200 but due to taxes only half of it actually materialised in my account. I have experienced ups and downs in economy, job scenario, getting made redundant, applying to hundreds of jobs in a day. But hey, I am proud and will try my best to support my wife and kid without going on the dole.

Insult me how much ever you want, I have cause to express indignation because I work 14 hours a day but see someone else spend my tax money shopping on the high street.

Ah, I see, you're a naturally unpleasant person. Your idea of defence is to be nasty to the person you perceive is carrying out the initial attack.

I can assure you, I have read the whole thread; I actually posted back on the early pages. I have certainly read enough of your posts to have the measure of you.

No Your the nasty one ive read your comments on other threads. You dont give advice just critisizm you seem to like the word nasty too. You need to look in the mirror. Yes you posted back on early pages but it was NASTY!

I don't see the OP as getting nasty, more being attacked and getting upset and fighting back. However there is an unpleasant faction on here that like getting people upset, I suspect their narrow sad little lives need livening up.

And this was the very reason I had to say something Plum.

No Mara, I don't consider myself to be a naturally unpleasant person, certainly not in real life.

I have a loving family and I have many loyal friends. Only when I think someone is being attacked then will step in as the Op has not really and truly done anything to warrant the nasty replies she has been getting on her thread. In fact she has only just been defending herself and her family. Is that so wrong?

I would do exactly the same in real life not just behind a keyboard!

I think her only fault was to come on here in the first place to ask for the advice she needs. However she has received some good advice from some posters on here and hope shazm.69 and her family get the help she needs.

Insult? Now theres a word. Its making me laugh how wound up your getting. Think you might need t calm down and take a chill pill otherwise you might find you need to claim disability benefit. LOL.

Just to confirm that shazm.69 post was in response to Mara69's post to myself above. Do not want to create any confusion.

Well I'll be coming back to england at some point as an expat and may have to rely on benefits to some extent for however long.

I didn't really want to leave my country of birth but it was more financially viable do do so, on top of all my other valid reasons for leaving.

I hope I get welcomed back with open arms like the OP and her daughter!!!

So is the father now British?
With a bit of luck they will find another country that pays higher benefits than the UK and they can try there.
As a whole they just seem to follow the handouts.

For someone to be so worried about their daughters mental health (suicidal threats) and the lack of money she and her partner has I find their postings so rude.

Maybe OP you need to take a step back and consider ways. of you and them finding any kind of job that brings in money and you might have a happier life.

    Good luck with your search
