Just spoken to someone who is dealing with my complaint letter for my b'card.
She tried to say that I am not in a worse position than someone who was issued a default and that they cannot change the information at the cra:eek:
She quite clearly doesn't know what she is talking about 1)she didn't read the letter properly and 2) I have seen people on here and other forums that have had the info changed.
I know she didn't know what she was talking about when she said if you are still paying on a debt which you have defaulted on, the default will remain on you file for however long you continue to pay it even after the 6 years. What utter rubbish, she should know that all defaults drop off your file after 6 years even if you haven't paid it off.
Anyway, if there is one thing I have learnt throughout this whole debt busting process is that you should never give up on the first no. You should continue until you get someone who knows what they are doing and also the system.
My complaint will be taken to the 2nd level and they will have a look and respond to my request via telephone or letter.
If I do get a no from them, then I will complain to the ICO/Financial Ombudsman. I may even send a copy to the CEO of b'card just like I did with First Credit. They quickly responded then and wiped eveything off;)
I have nothing to lose now. I have paid it off so they can't do anything to me now:pSmile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

Yesterday -I didn't mange to finish all the ironing but I did clean DS1 room and hoovered ds2 room.
Still have the dinning room and my bedroom to do but I am very proud of myself for how much I have done. Normally I spend all weekend being depressed about how messy the house is:o
I could have done more yesterday but my sister called me and we spent over 2 hours on the phone:eek: She was feeling depressed and by the time she had stopped talking about herself and then said some stuff about how chubbyds2 (but she said oh my God he is getting so fat, haven't you noticed?) is getting I was feeling down too:o I know there is a weight issue and I am already trying my hardest to deal with it (we go to the drs every 3 months). I just really didn't need to have heard it the way it came out:(
Anyway, I managed to pick myself up and carry on. I am using my new slow cooker for the first time and the kids will be eating the sw version of spaghetti bolognese. I hope they like it.
I must get back to work now:)Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

I have received a letter this morning from b'card confirming that they have now closed the account and on this generic letter it says "we're very sorry that you have chosen to leave us." Really? I had no choice, I haven't used the card for 8 years.
This was my very first credit card I had when I was 18 years old, which is all of my adult life. I am glad that I can now continue my life without it:beer:

Feeling really sad right now:( I have been in floods of tears.
I have just found out that my eldery neighbour who I have known for the last 15 years passed away on Sunday.
I had not seen her around for the last few weeks so went to check on her on Sunday but got no answer. Today, I saw a car outside her house and went over to ask how she was, but her brother said that she past away in hospital on Sunday:(
To me she was always really healthy and she only became ill over the last few months and died suddenly of cancer which the Drs didn't even check for until it was too late.
RIP beautiful lady, I will really miss you xxxxxSmile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

NSD yesterday :j
This won't happen today though. Ds1 school bag broke yesterday so we need to get a new one today, and it is only 8 days until school finishes. At least we don't have to buy one for September.
I had check my credit file on Monday and saw that my mortgage was done twice, so it looks like I have two mortgages:eek: Equifax had contacted the company yesterday and I can now see they have replied and asked Equifax to mark it as closed:T
(My mortgage was with Egg but Yorkshire took over and the entry wasn't updated)
A new shooping centre near by has opened today, so we will go and have a look (and buy ds2 school bag) after school. We now have a 24 hr Tesco, Oden cinema, JJB, nando's, Next, and lots of other shops soon. This will be great:jSmile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

Yesterday turned out to be more of a spend day than I wanted. Ds2 and I have been riding our bikes to and from school. After school we only have about 6-8 mins to get to the train station so we have to ride pretty fast.
The breaks on ds2 bike were not working and he went smack right into a tree at full speed:eek:. I was on the other side of the road and looked in horror, there was no way I could have stopped him. He was a bit shaken and we both had a good laugh afterwards.
As we arrived home the scrap man appeared, so I just gave the bike away for scrap. It did first belong to Ds1 so we have had it quite a long time and it had seen better days.
Ds2 now has a brand new bike (£112) which he loves and thinks it is the best thing ever. We have been biking to school every day for about 6 weeks now and he loves it and I really think he deserves not having yet another hand me down.
At least ds1 new school bag was discounted from £12 to £5:rotfl:Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

Have been meaning to update for a while but haven't got around to it until now, but I have sad news and amazing news.
Sad news - my grandad passed away yesterday morning which is very sad as my grandparents were due to visit from abroad in the next few weeks:( I will have to go over there instead to his funeral but I now have to ask my boss if I can cancel the leave I had already booked and rearrange it for the funeral.
Amazing news - well I have done it. Just received a call from b'card and they will be removing all details to say that I was on a payment plan :j This is fantastic news as the arrangement to pay will no longer be on my credit file for another 6years. All my defaults have fallen off and with the "AP" marker being removed my credit file will now be clear
I am so glad I didn't give up on the first no, it was worth sending the letter and just asking. This for me is much better than keeping the card and still having the "AP" marker on my credit file.
This will be a fresh start and I plan not to mess up this time:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

Yesterday, I received my letter from barclaycard confirming that they would remove the "AP" marker on my credit file and that it should take 7-10 days to be removed.
This morning I received one of those alerts from Equifax to say there has been a changed to my credit file. I logged in to check what it was and wow all information regarding the Barclaycard has been removed from the credit file. It's gone :T there is no trace of it now. I am really happy about it, I thought they would just take the "AP" markers off and mark it down as settled, but they went one better and removed the whole entry.
Now, I am just waiting for my mortgage entry to be corrected. Yorkshire Building Society told Equifax to mark the account which had not been updated since last year as settled, but they marked the active one as settled instead. I have been asking since Monday for them to correct it but I have had no response, so I have raised another ticket.
Once this has been sorted my credit file will now be clear:DSmile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)
