    Xmas Saver!
Mrs Moneypenny - thank you, xxx

Susan - wow they look fab, may have to try and copy as think Miss Hoodie has a male TA come in, even she doesn't know how many they have as she says there coming and going!!

Angela - Never blot the ink, I usually write about 10 cards then leave on the side and then do the envelopes so by then the ink has dried - (think I have a little OCD as I have xmas cards in lists, family, with each "head of the family has their cards", friends (again some have extended family), then post, keeps me out of trouble!!

    ----
if anyone is going into Morrisons as they have special offer 2 tins of xmas sweets for £5, (quality street, hero's, celebrations, roses) take a magnifiying glass or be prepared to go without - our store say they get daily delieveries, but all that was left was 8 tins of Quality Street - the assistant said there was only about 20 of each on the delievery!!

They had 2 other brands but they were £5 each.......

Thou did get 2 quality street - 1 for the doctors surgery, and 2nd going to use in cups and some small jars -
Cupcake mugs with a lid - fill that with quality street, add candy cane, hot choc sachet, wispa choc sachet (postcard from 2 yrs ago with Snowman soup poem) - 3 of those - there go for the secetaries at Miss Hoodies school.

2 carte nior jars - pop a decoration on then "in case of emergency please open label"

Small jars (4 for £1 poundworld) - over brought when was doing the jams - so add them into the xmas hampers......

    Going back to Morrisons
If anyone likes Nescafe Cappucinio, Latte, Mocha etc sachets - there reduced to half price at £1.49 (4 boxes for Nanny Hoodie for xmas)

The posh Arabic coffee - now in a container - latte and cappucino £1.49 (half price), think all that range was half price as well.

    xx

It doesn't take much wool I've got all them and a striped blue and yellow hat for Grandad hoodie - all from 1 x 100g blue DK, 1 x 100g yellow DK, oddments of white, grey black.

I've just had to open the 2nd yellow ball as grandad hoodie wants stripy mitts to go with his hat, xx

Mum2one - they are fab, I love the hat with the glasses , made me chuckle, I can imagine grandad hoodie wearing that . I bet the gloves are warm too. Hand knitted ones usually are. It's going to be freezing this weekend so will you be wearing them ? Or is it a Xmas box ?

Angela- like mrs money penny said they're scented wet wipes. I collect things all year around . At the moment the shampoo in £shop , 24 in a pack. I like calligraphied cards too and I don't blot, I just leave it to dry like mum 2 one.

Emma - did you do the chocolate slabs or are you leaving it til nearer the time

Mmm money penny - I love the smell of Xmas cake cooking, can't stand the taste though. I did make some Xmas flapjacks yesterday though and they were lovely

Rufus - thank you. I'm always looking at your makes you have some gorgeous things. I admire you can see so well. I unfortunately can't.. I can just about manage a straight line. Saying that straight wouldn't be the word I'd use to describe it

    Hi all

Thanks for the explanation about the cat pirate sachet ladies. Not surprising I couldn't make it out lol

mum2one, my goodness Grandad Hoodie is going to stand out! At least you'll find him easily in a busy shop!! The whole set looks great.

I can't get over how generous you are to everyone you meet you know the staff at places you stay, neighbours, school, doctors, hospital etc

Good luck with the cake Mrs Money penny.

I was out with friends yesterday, first time in a while, it was good except you know who (texts) nearly spoilt it, thought our friendship was over this morning, but all ok now. I had also tried to find packs of Christmas wrapping paper - the ones with about 10 different sheets folded up. All I could see were rolls which I didn't want.

So mum2one and Susan use ink in cards. Anyone else?

I used to use ink pens (the type for drawing) but they often smudged, so wonder how you managed to get away with it.

On the Christmas forum on this site, someone was asking how to make their own selection boxes as bought ones were dear. I noticed £1 ones in Superdrug, not very big but could be added to.

That reminds me, have any of you tried making your own selection Christmas stockings - with netting like the ones in the shops?

Angela I make sweet bouquets. They look massive and you can use any container and add as many or as little sweets as you want, very cost effective and everyone loves them

    Sweet bouquets

I never tried making the netted ones

I glad you had a good day out and it wasnt spoilt

Well I went all the way to Morrisons today and they had no sweets left, I actually went to two, I also know lots of people who have been and they`ve sold out, I know the offer was until they sold out but asking around they ran out the beginning of the week. At least at Asda they are 50p more but at leasy you can buy them
