managed to watch the TV upstairs, as there is a digital arial upstairs to the TV in the bedrooms. (It just doesnt reach downstairs), so I went to bed early and watched the TV up there.
Still no TV on the sky downstairs. Waiting for them on the phone, the call is going to be answered in approximately 20 minutes apparantly. So thats on loudspeaker while I do other things.
I did all the checks, last night, and again this morning and still no signal to my box. Maybe the snow is in the way, but will call them anyway. If we are to be having wet weather, and snow etc more and more, I may have to consider the type of TV that we have. No areil downstairs is a bit of a problem, but DGD will just have to play games and do other things for now. She wont go upstairs and watch TV in my bedroom unless I go with her. I have too much to do to be sat up there. Its not comfy either.
We went to the doctors this morning, it looks like she just has to work through the cough/cold and the sticky eyes. They said that unless the white of the eye is badly inflammed they dont do anything. So lets hope that she doesnt get any worse. The itching is the hardest part for her.
The snow is slushy, and very wet here. Its already quite thick on the ground and will be causing problems for some. We have enough stuff in for food etc, so we dont have to go anywhere yet.
(The doctors is opposite us so that was easy to get too).

Well we muddled through yesterday. I had help with DGD in the afternoon and was able to sit at the sewing machine and finish off some long started projects. Yipee. Although it was not as much fun as all the sewing I did on Monday when I was creating and making hearts most of the day.
I have met a lady who knows a lot of others as she is a Nails technician, and she has lots of clients. So hopefully her purchase of some of my Hearts for her room, will help me to get established in the area as someone who makes gifts etc, and possibly the childrens clothes. Still working on that Idea.
I have updated my Blog, but I am not so sure of the layout but the blogger kept freezing on me so I have finally given up for the day, and will take another look at it tomorrow. There is only so much patience that I have when trying to work my way around technology, and freezing screens is not one of the areas I excel.
DGD is still unwell, and is on Nuerofen for children as the Calpol didnt seem to do much with her last time. We will see. At over £6 a bottle, it was not cheap!
She is lounging around in the front room in her PJ's, she has done some crafting this morning, but is now watching a film on Sky.
Yep we have it back. Finally it gave us TV last night. After a random lets just try unplugging it and doing all the test again. Bingo it started up. So I cancelled the Engineer. The call out for the engineer was to be £60 and I said no, forget it, I will cancel Sky, my phone, my broadband the lot! so they put me through to disconnections.
They want to retain me obviously, so they came back with a deal. I could get the engineer for £15, on my next bill, and then also have a reduction of £5 a month on my rental for 12 months. So I would have £60 back over the year. So I agreed.
Although now that I have had to cancel the engineer, I wonder if that £5 off a month is taken off of my account?mmmm
Anyway we now have sky back, and she is watching Madagascar3. I know it cost me £3.49 to download for the day, but she is not well, the snow is still outside and we are not going anywhere.
I hope that I will get a little bit of time to go back up to the sewing room, as there are a few things that are going on in my head that I want to try and make.
I have a cream fleece blanket purchased in ikea last year, that I want to use to make some cushion covers and a few other things.
I also have two rugby shirts that belong to a friends husband, and he wants me to turn them into Cushion covers for his "Bar" area. The theme is Guinness, and as his name is Ohara, a good irishmans bar.!
I have also been able to update my Moo Loo on facebook. After ages and ages of forgetting that I had it.
So I am really aiming to get my world back on track, and too side track no more.
DS has rung me, and asked if I can take him to the Blacksmiths on Saturday morning. Great... At last he has made contact and is going to get to spend the day there, watching and learning. I hope that it is what he really does want to do, and that the man will like, and take him under his wing.
I have once again been too soft and given him money to get the bus to sign on. But at least he is going to start signing on again.
he also asked for a short lone of about £30 to buy an adaptor for a computer that he is working on, but that will get the funds back whe he returns the computer. So we will see. I will not hold my breathe. But I will be clawing it back over the next few weeks if he tries to let me down.!
    (which he will).
Twin2 has had another form about the boys to fill in? Stupid really as we havent seen them for over a year. (well apart from a view through the window last summer at a review). It brings back the subject and makes her even more and more depressed! What are they doing to her? She still has no proper support other then from me, and I am not the best support.
She does get support from the Charity to get her on the right roads etc at home, but she is not always there for them.
    Its not easy
The housing have been on to me to chase the benefits for her housing arrears, but I cannot get through on the phone.
I was thinging of paying the £5 odd a week myself. But I am not sure that I should really. I just dont want her to loose her home for all the arrears. I cannot afford the £800 odd that it is, in one go, but could I just fit the £5 into my budget? I will take a look.
Twin1 has not been very noticeable since the weekend. She has a friend staying with her, so until he goes I suppose I wont.
I have put in a food order from Approved Foods for the biscuits, and cakes, and those sort of things that we dont buy very often. Looking forward to the delivery, but not putting it into the cupboards!.
The lady that cleans for me now, will roll her eyes at me and the fact that she threw out a lot of stuff last week, and here I am stocking up again.
Although this time I do intend to incorporate them into my menus better. The treats etc for puddings. I didnt buy any more soup mixes though, as I dont seem to want to eat soup at the moment, so they were wasted purchases the last time.
Right enough waffle, I am in need of some lunch!

Why do I always speak too soon.
Had a call about an hour ago from the Young Adults social worker, to ask me to a meeting at the Police station next week, for a review of the situation with the twins. They are still concerned about who is living at twin2's (DS and his friend), and the under age children going into the flat at twin1's.
So I am now tied up once again in the problems for them.
It depresssed me instantly thats for sure.
It is snowing quite hard here, after I thought that it was starting to thaw this morning. So I am struggling with the down in the dumps all of a sudden.
Cup of tea, sweet biscuit, and deep breathe!!
DGD is also beginning to feel a bit better as she is bouncing around and bumping into everything all over again.
(She is so clumsy. So very clumsy!).

So feeling quite tired now. Have another Mum coming around at10am this morning so I really should get a move on. Just having tea in bed with my kindle. love it, love it.
DGD has joined me. coughing away. She has Milkshake on the TV.

    Well no sewing done today.
The morning was spent with one of my friends, setting the scene, and photographing my makes. Or some of them anyway.
She has helped me load them up on to my Moo Loo facebook page.

For any of you that havent seen much that i do.
Please excuse the models! we are not exactly model material, but its to show off the items.

I would have liked to spend a bit more in the sewing room, but as DGD is getting a bit better/ or not, she is getting really annoyingly clingy, and moaning about all of her aches and pains!.
I did pop out to the shops to buy a few basics, and a bottle of wine for this evening. What the heck it is Valentine's day after all.

Making a Korma curry, and have some rice, naan breads and then some cheese cake for pudding. Yummy.

I havent heard anything from the family today. No news is not necessarily good news unfortuantely.

Thankyou. Today I have managed to make two rugby shirts into cushion covers for a Mum from school. Happy with the results.
Had my App Fd delivery this morning. so all the luxury bits are stocked back in again.
The funds are very very low. But we dont need anything else for a while now.
DGD is having fun playing with the box.
Though she loves the games on my iphone mire than her leappad.
With friends help managed to get the washing on the airer. Love the smell of the laundry when it's been hung out.
