MOOLOO'S Muddling on into 2013

DGD is a little livelier this morning. Just as well. I was going to get the doctor if she hadn't started to improve.
Molly's daughter came over for a while so I was able to go out and post my stuff and then I went to visit my parents. They are well and warm. Dad is getting a new passport sorted out. Said it would probably be his last one now as he didn't think he would be touring when he was 92. Fair enough. That got him. talking about his Will. The thought of them not being around is rather disturbing and although I know that it's inevitable it still makes me uncomfortable.
No plans for today. We will just see how DGD is. Just given her her first calpol of the day.
Breakfast time. Been awake since 6am.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
DGD is beginning to improve, but she is still coughing awfully. She was sick in the car from coughing today.
I was called by her Mum this afternoon and caved in and gave her £20 for the electric. I went with her, and also had to sort out why she didnt have the electric. Dispite being in the emergency she had a problem with her sockets. After unplugging everything in the house, and working our way through things, it turns out that her Kettle was tripping the switch.
So she needs a new kettle. My Dad said that they have one that she can have, that was in thier caravan. So told her she can go and collect it.
While I was at her house, she was pestered by the local youths all the time. She caved in and let them in as I was leaving. Not good.
I will have a chat with the Police that called me last week, and tell them that she is pestered by them and caves. I was there for an hour or so, and they paced up and down outside the flat, and the numbers of them ringing her on the phone, and she was telling them to go away, but they obviously knew that if they continued long enough she would give in.
I dont know what I can do to protect her from that.
I cannot be in her flat all the time.
I am not sure what I should do really.
I was wondering today whether I should be trying to do a house exchange and move back to the same town as them, so I can be about. But in the end I realised that actually no I need space away not closer really.
My Dad is still talking about his changes to the Will, etc and it is a sobbering thought that they are beginning to feel that time is running out for them.
He has said that there will not be much Money left. etc etc as savings do not make them much interest etc. I have said that I think that they should continue to spend it really. That its their money and not mine, or my siblings. That they should continue to enjoy thier caravaning, etc and the upto date computers etc etc. That I dont think that any of us would want anything differently.
I am tired today. I have had a strange tummy all day today. Wonder if it was the Piella (?) I had for tea.
DGD is hopefully going to be well enough to go to School tomorrow. I have the dentist in the morning and someone to see about altering a Weddingdress on my way back.
The new cleaner is going to come on Tuesday. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Nothing much to report today. Went to the dentist this morning. Had a cuppa afterwards with my parents then went to do a fitting for a wedding dress. The Avon lady delivered the order just as we got back from the school run. It was delayed so much I had forgotten what I had ordered! OppS.
I have been asked to join some of the other Mums for a drink on Friday evening so I hope twin1 doesn't let me down and will babysit.
DGD survived her first day back at school. Although she still has quite a cough. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well just a quick update as its late for me. DGD is still coughing but is back to her usual bouncy state.
I had my hair done today so I feel much better.
I had a hand to make some space in the spare room to try and regain the place for my sewing.
Twin1 is here this evening and so I retired to my bedroom aling with diary and iPhone. DS still has my laptop as I forgot to go and collect it.
I have just managed to master accessing my Etsy shop and upload one of my bags. So now I know that I can do it all on the phone I hope I will conquer my fear of the change in technology and can actually get my work out there again. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Yesterday I spent the morning sewing the alteration s to the wedding dress that I measured up earlier in the week. i had another upsetting argument between Ds and twin2 over the money and the electricity. I was really stressed over it all and caved in with yet another £20.
In the afternoon after school Dgd went to tea at one of her little friends house. when I went to collect her I ended up chatting to the mum over a cup of tea for an hour!
Icouldnt be bothered to cook just for me so i only had tea and toast for me.
Biggest of Mooloo rang me around 11pm worried about Dgd2 so today I am babysitting fir her as Dgd 2 couldn't go to nursery.
It meant she was late for work but as long as she does her four hours they said it was OK.
Tomorrow Dgd is going to go to her granddad for the weekend. So far other then drinks with some mum's on Friday evening I don't have any plans. Amazing. Maybe a bit of sewing and indulge my creative side. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Today I have managed to get to the sewing machine again. This time to start to clear up some of the old projects that I had lying around. I managed to make a summer dress that I have had cut out for nearly 2 years! oops.
DGD is off to her grandads this afternoon after school and I will be going out with some of the Mum's from the school this evening.
Looking forward to it.
Molly41 is unwell, and was taken back into hospital yesterday. I am praying for my friend, and that she will be back home soon. xx
The cleaner is helping me blitz the kitchen. She started on some of the cupboards today. (While I was sewing).
I only got my Laptop back from my son on Wednesday, and now I am having trouble with the keys. They are not responding to my touch. Having to practically bang them to get a letter on the screeen. Argh! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Then, with a cotton bud dipped in distilled water, you can carefully clean under the keys. Then snap the keys back on again.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Isopropyl alcohol is a safer and better cleaning agent than water. Available from ebay, Maplins or your local PC shop or chemist..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
