Made a pillowcase dress for DGD out of one from Saturday's purchases. Also several small bag s were finished ready for my stall next month. DS drove me to distraction when I took him to sign on, as he had been signed off automatically for not going two weeks ago. Even though he had called them. So hes back to square one with no claim, and the costs are mounting up for his furnice etc. Sometimes I wish I could shake some sense into him, but it all falls on deaf ears or dug in heels.
I have struggled with my sleeping the last few days and am putting it down to a further reduction in my meds. Time will tell. I have another order for bunting today. @ £25 a pop. So that will keep me busy when I have finished all the others. One set parcelled up ready to go. Three or four little bags done this afternoon, as well as that dress.
Orders for Toothe fairy pillow and possible few kids dresses. To be confirmed tomorrow.
Meeting at the recycling centre tomorrow about a joint venture with Upcycling clothes. Scared I mess it up. Not in the habit of making business deals these days, or valuing my time properly. Eek
Not heard from twins this week.
Social rang and are coming with that family agreement on Friday.
Will that be the end? heaven knows but I don't think so.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I have negotiated a starting working relationship with them to work at an hourly rate for two days a week, part time, 10-4, while we all see if we can work together and if we are going to be on the same wavelength. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

Spent the morning sewing more of my little bags and then practiced printing a logo on fabric for a bunting that I am doing for the local sing and sign teacher. This afternoon ESA finally got back to me about my missing payments after the man at the jobcentre chased them so they will finally release my money. The jobcentre have received my business plan copy and have signed the agreement for my back to work credits. So what with the work at the centre I should soon be solvent again.
I have applied for a gadget that turns my iPhone into a card reader and it will allow me to accept bank cards when I do my craft fairs etc.
things are coming together.
the social worker who was supposed to come out today cancelled as she I unwell. Twin2, contacted me about her council bills. I didn't go to help though as I didn't feel that great and couldn't face two trips to town today. She is scaring the life out of be as she is off to meet some bloke in Cornwall tomorrow. she said she net him when we had a family holiday in the past. But that's a total lie. And told her that. She was about 11 or 12 when we went to Cornwall. Anyway I can't stop her and I am worried stupid about her.
Twin 1 is not having DGD as she is feeling sick again. Mmmmm I am not impressed nor surprised.
DS has been dropped at town ready to do a shift in the pub and his black smithing tomorrow. So it's just DGD and me tonight.
I won't be long up as I am still sleeping badly. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Morning, from a rather cold windy Brackley!. The sun was out earlier, but its already been hidden by a blanket of cloud. Yuk.
DGD had two birthday parties on Saturday, so we were hurtling from one town to the next practically in a convoy of children!. But the kids all had a good time.
Goody bags at the end of the party seem to have turned into cones of sweets from our local sweet shop. Blue for the boys and Pink for the girls, with a printed label of the childs name. Things have moved on since my kids days, when it was a bag with a toy and a balloon and the cake of course!.
I managed to sneak out on the second party and take a look around a sewing shop in Banbury, but it started to rain on me on the way back, so I got soaked. I had gone out in Sandals and a maxi dress!. Mmmm not the right clothes for the weather again.
I managed to pick up two reels of shirring elastic, and resist buying any more fabric. Although in the charity shop I did pick up a childs jersey knit blanket, that I think will be perfect for the other Bandana bibs that I have been asked to make. So now I have enough stuff to make some pink and blue ones.
There are so many things on the go, that its keeping my brain active and busy anyway.
I have to go to the post office and post off a parcel with some Bunting in today. I though I was going to get around to post it last week, but the time just disappeared and before I knew it, it was the weekend and I was off to do the parties etc.
I have been given another box of clothes to sort through. So that will be my next task. Are they clothes that we will use, for myself or Biggest, or things that will be cut up to make other things. Then from that decision, its where to put them and after the trip to the post office its sewing time again.
Looking forward to working tomorrow, and getting to see what they have for me to adapt. But my mind has been busy with all the various what ifs? etc and how could I? so that I can work on my own business. I will have to be careful that I don't just leave all the remakes to do for them.
My mind races that if only had the where with all, to rent a unit, I would probably have bypassed working for the Recycling people and done it for myself.
Oh well, maybe one day I will get there.
Time to get on.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well Twin2 rang me from Cornwall. So she is still alive, and has given me the number of the person she is staying with. Still dubious and worried of course.
Havent heard from Twin1 since I dropped off DS on Friday. She was supposedly unwell again then, but is due to come here tonight to see DGD so time will tell.
My overlocker decided to break on me last night. In the middle of a job that's urgent as well. So I am rather refined to the fact I need a new one. (It is about 20 years old afterall). I have put a bid on one on Ebay, that finishes today. An expense I would rather have done without. But I do need one, and to get an old one fixed could be a no goer. although maybe I will see if I can find some one to look at it, if this Ebay bid goes too high.
Time to get DGD ready for school, and me off to work. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well the day went by so fast. They are still a very fledgeling outfit, and there are going to be a few changes to the area that they have me working in, thank goodness, as it was so cold, I had my coat on most of the day. My feet are still like ice blocks. They will have to put up some screening to the sewing area, and carpet it as its a industrial unit with concrete floors, corregated roof, and roll up doors. So it was too cold. The winter would be a nightmare.
They ordered an overlocker and it arrived today, so I set that up for them. (being green with envy that mine is now broken).
I upcycled several pairs of shorts, with various pockets, flaps and the like, and showed them how the overlocker worked on edges to a top and made a very quick, experament of a dress out of remains to a sari and a T shirt. Bit of fun just to show off the creative ideas really.
I have picked up Twin1, and she can now see her daughter for a while. I am having a well needed cuppa, and a piece of toast, as I didn't take any lunch. Then will have to get on and do the evening meal for everyone.
My Asda shopping is due in the next two hours.
So, Relax Moo, relax. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I think the only way they will be able to sort out a comfortable working environment for you in an industrial unit is to put a well insulated garden shed with heating in it..................
