I have a craft fair/table top sale booked in a school in Bicester in June. So I will fill my time making more stock to see if they sell there, but hopefully I will have worked on a flyer to be able to hand out. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Good grief, that's substantially less than the NMW. Your boss will be paying you slave labour wages;)
Ah but I will be my own boss and can hopefully make more than that when I am established. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Really pleased for you Mooloo, I know it will be a huge leap in to the unknown but you love sewing so much I am sure you will make it work.
The lady that does my alterations has a small add in the local paper every week offering alterations with a fast, friendly, reliable service and she is always busy. I was there at lunchtime today and I was her 6th client of the day, she had another 5 to see. Wedding and Prom Season keep her very busy.
Thanks. That would be a good goal to aim for.
I will do a mix of work, to keep me busy. I hope. I hope that I can get the right balance of work built up in a reasonable time frame as funding had to be one of the bigger fears I have had, along with my physical limitations. Time will no doubt tell. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Sorry, that's what I meant and I was trying to make a joke (massive fail!) A minimum of £50 weekly pure profit will be an acheivment, but don't forget - some of the 16 hours pw will be spent on keepin accurate accounts......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Did he mention that your HB/CTB will change?
Please keep very accurate records for WTC purposes - they are clamping down big time and doing compliance checks to make sure you are working the hours you say you are doing.
Also when Universal Credit comes in there will be a minimum income floor so if you say you are working 16 hours they will expect you to earn national minimum wage x 16 and if you don't it is tough!!
Let me know if you need any help - I am a bit of a whiz with benefit calculations!!0 -
Sorry forgot to say I can be your first 'official' customer - will send the shopping bags this week!!
They have been packed for over a week!0 -
Here is another FB shop that I found, that may be of interest to you.

He gave me an estimated print out of what I can expect to get in and what I will loose etc. although his figures were not accurate as he input the council tax incorrect. But nothing ventured so they say.
Yesterday evening I spent on the computer and set up an online account system that is suggested on the government website and seems to be quite good with a range of ways for me to keep records. Was also trying to sort out my own time sheets but struggling with Formulas in Excel.
This morning I worked on the piecing together of the sofa covers, and did a good lot of it. This lunchtime I was on granny duty helping biggest as she cant drive yet. So got DGD 2 from nursery.Had a cuppa and a chat with her. before coming home and doing some alterations and repairs to her clothes that I bought back last week after sorting her wardrobe. Good practice for me. So this afternoon from 4 till 8.30 I have, spent an hour darning and repairing the holes in her jeans bum, darned a cigarette burn in a pocho, replaced a zip in another pair of jeans, resewn a seam in a ripped pair of cargo trousers, patched a skirt with a small hole, and shortened a pair of cropped trousers.
Then watched the sewing bee on BBC.
Twin 2 rang me to tell me she has lost the keys to her house, but I don't know what she wants me to do as I dont have a spare set of keys. Cant get hold of DS's friend who he left his set with and anyway she has put the bottom lock on, which he doesnt have a key to anyway. She said she would have to get a locksmith out, but I said they would not come out unless she can pay for it, and I cannot afford to pay. I had the £89, phone bill she lumbered me with to pay.
So I don't know what she is going to do. Time will tell I suppose. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Really stressed. Just had an argument with twin2 and have told her I am not going to do anything for her after rushing over to Oxford and back t get her door key and all for nothing. I am still so angry with her for wasting two hours of my time and £10 of petrol, when she is now not going home and will be staying at her family from hell's place again. Dispite the police being involved, and warning her she will loose her housing. I give up. I cannot cope with her anymore. Today I want nothing more to do with the girl.
DGD has a waterworks infection so we had to go to the doctors this morning as well. But she did go back into school afterwards so at least she did nt see me upset and crying. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hope you are ok today ((((hugs)))).0
