The SGO had no terms, and it stated that Mother has contact.
Before the SGO DGD had stayed at her mums, so the, then, social worker knew the future plans etc.
I have provided the papers from the courts to them.
I have explained that DGD is now 3 years older and able to fend for herself more, so its not the same. I would not have left her at 2, but now at 5 the situation is different.
Anyway, they rang me again yesterday, just as I was going out, and told me that they will contact Mum, and if she is in agreement, go and see her next week, with a Family Safety Agreement, and we will both have to sign it. I told them to let me know when they are going and I will go if I am able. (Then we can both read it together and sign it if we agree). I don't know what will happen if we refused to sign it??? Gizmo??
I am just so fed up of the system being so strict with me, yet they are letting many other children get abused and neglected etc and they are the ones that need the Systems time and efforts.
I am pleased that they are so Caring, but they are really wasting valuable time messing about over what "could" be a problem and not "is" a problem. All their evidence is circumstanscial, so to speak, and its always based on what has happened on a different time scale, to the actions that are happening around twin1 at the times that she has DGD.!
She knows that she is not allowed her little friends in the house when she has DGD and she only has one friend, (a girl not a lad) who sometimes stays, and she is 18. Not a youth, as such.
The young lads, who go around(who have been told to not go around), tend to go around on a Thursday when they are supposed to be at the youthclub, but that stopped now.
The police and the social workers who are supposed to be working with me, seem to have put these reports in, without telling me, and this is what has started the Children in Need action.
What is the point of the police and the social worker talking to me, and me talking to twins, then they put in a report anyway? Thought the whole idea was for the meetings to work together and to resolve any situations between us all.
IF there had been a problem while DGD was actually at her Mum's, and that she had been at risk, then I would whole heartedly agree that it would not be suitable for her to go. But NONE of the occasions that she has been with her Mum have had any incidents, and the BONDING, between them is the most important thing. What is the point of me trying to keep the family unit together if they are against me.? I don't want to loose my DGD, and I have changed my whole life to care for her. Do you think that I would be putting her at risk, deliberately?? Well if anyone does, then that's their opinion, but I will tell you now. I love that girl as my own, and would protect her with my life. I would fight the world to protect her.
Just the same as any Mum would.
I lost the boy's and it breaks my heart. I do not feel whole.

Do they realise how stressed they make me? How it flares up my tension and pain levels? How mentally it really shakes me, and how scared they make me feel about loosing my precious grandchild?
I don't suppose they give a flying fig!.

Biggest of Mooloo has had an injury to her back, while lifting at work. She was in a really bad state, and could hardly walk. There was no way that she could drive, so I had to go to Daventry to collect her from work, and then go and collect DGD2 from Nursery. Then take her to the doctors when it was time for her appointment, and look after DGD2 until her BF arrived to take over. The doctor wants her to go back next Week, when the tablets they have given her will have started to make an improvement. The back was in spasm at the time of examination, and she said any further examination without being on medication would be cruel.
DS took over from Molly's daughter with caring for DGD1 for me.
He did her meal, and when I got back we did ours together, but it was 8pm before dinner was done!.
I still had to finish making Miss Muffet outfit for DGD for school today, and I was incredibly tired, it was an effort, and when I had finished that I still had to make a tunic out of two England flags for DS for working in the Pub this weekend, for ST George's day.
He is going as a knight. So the cross had to be around the chest and not in the middle, so I had to take the top 6th of of the flags, and then shape and make arm holes/neck etc. It took me a couple of goes, as I did the fitting on him at each stage.
Well it was done, and I was in bed by around 9.30! I cannot remember the last time I felt so exhausted!
Today I am taking it easier, will do a bit of housework, but am off to the hairdressers this morning. I will drop off my heatpad for Biggest to use on my way, and collect DGD2 from Nursery if its needed.
The social worker has been informed that if the place is up to scratch then DGD will be at her Mum's tonight and she didn't seem to disagree with me. She thought that after talking to her supervisor etc that I had most things covered. So as long as Mum keeps the youths out she will be ok. (fingers crossed they don't change their mind). I did tell her that DS would be stopping there tonight, as well so they wouldn't be on their own. Although he has to work.
He has made his Forge, ready to come home, but when they went to collect it, the blacksmith wasn't there. (maybe he had forgotten). DS was rather disappointed, but I am sure we will be up and running in no time. I did say that I would help him to get his first coke and steals, but it may take a bit of time.
Yesterday, Twin2 needed to borrow £10 to get to Engus again. I was not thrilled, but bent a bit and gave in. I was too busy sorting Biggest to really argue.

I do appreciate the DGD situation is difficult at the moment, and stressful, but perhaps the bottom line is that all those involved have DGD's best interests at heart and believe it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm sure you wouldn't have it any other way.

    I know.
I just think that they are not actually acting in her best interest but ticking boxes as they are such a bad service.
    end of really.

I guess they would ramp it up to a child protection issue if you refused to sign it point blank, if you want amendments or advice on the contents tell them you'll think about it for a few days and I'll have a look.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

Well DGD was at her Mum's on Friday, and all was well.
Mum is going away for a week or so, so we will not be having any issues about her going there, and the Social will have to wait until she returns.
I am off now to the Jobcentre to see what I can get sorted out with finacial, courses etc if I am to actually step it up a gear with My Mooloo's sewing from crafting to work?

So today starts the beginning of a new part of my world.
I was at the jobcentre today. I am going to actually take a leap and set up Mooloo's officially, so that I can actually get advertising, working and not be worried that I am breaking some benefits laws etc.
The man gave me some figure forecasts etc for working 16 hours, and getting an average income of £50 a week. It would bring me out with benefits that are about the same as I am on, not working. But its the start. Tax Credits, Child Tax Credits, and Child benefits. But I would be able to get a Returning To works credit. for 12 months too.
That's a sum of £40 a week, bit less then half the ESA but the tax credits will also come in for me.
Means my money will be disrupted a bit I suppose, it always is as things change, but if I don't take the step now, I will regret it, I am sure.
So best foot forward. Hope the arm doesn't give in too easily, and get the word out that I am "trading". Take in alterations etc. And actually work on other things in between the times allotted for sewing each day.
I have a long way to go, but its worth trying.

Have you decided how you are going to advertise and if you are going to do craft fairs etc to sell your homemade aprons, bags etc?

Good grief, that's substantially less than the NMW. Your boss will be paying you slave labour wages;)

Really pleased for you Mooloo, I know it will be a huge leap in to the unknown but you love sewing so much I am sure you will make it work.

The lady that does my alterations has a small add in the local paper every week offering alterations with a fast, friendly, reliable service and she is always busy. I was there at lunchtime today and I was her 6th client of the day, she had another 5 to see. Wedding and Prom Season keep her very busy.
