    Hi mooloo :hello:

I've never posted but have been a lurker! Just wanted to say I think you're amazing and good luck to you :)

Minimoneysaver is on to something with the personalised pe bags and pencil cases. If you do decide to start doing that please do let me know because I may be able to put some business your way.

    Lots of love x

Just had lunch with Biggest of Mooloos. relaxing until I have to go to the dentist. I think that the two ideas are good ones. I will post a picture of what I decide to make.
I have some Hello Kity style fabric bags I can run up on the machine easily enough. I just need to sort out the cords for them. Over the years I have made a few things for people on here. I have let one down though which always worried me.

Mooloo, you had an awful lot going on at the time and IIRC that person wasn't very patient.

Please don't let that experience put you off now you are a stronger person.

Best wishes for 2013 for you & your family.

Well today I made a cover for my iphone (second hand one that was my daughters, I may have gone hitech, but I havent spent the money on the gadgets.).
I made it out of the same fabrics as the Kindle cover, but with some of the fabrics reversed.
    Pictures are on my Blog.
I thought that it was about time I updated the blog, or correction, started to use the blog. I hadnt used it since August for heaven sake> Where did that time go then?

I agree my life was rather hectic, and times have not been exactly easy. I will just have to try harder to keep the sewing going, and to make the odds and ends that are requested as soon as they are requested. Problem is some of the time the requests are "in the future" and dont actually materialize, and I loose heart at times. I dont always make money on the things that I make, sometimes making a loss. So I have to think them more logically, with the cost of the fabrics all the fabrics used, like the linings, and the threads, buttons etc, as well as my time. Well some of my time.
It will mean that I am not exactly going to be makeing a lot of things that are cheap and cheerful. But we will see.
The evening has gone, I cooked a large joint of Pork this evening, so I have to wrap that and cool it now. Tomorrow when its cold, I will use the electric carving knife, and portion it out. I am hoping that it will be suitable for a good 10 plus portions, which I will freeze individually, so that I dont waste any of it. The joint was reduced to £10.85 which is still a massive amount to me. But if I can slice it well, then it will be a good purchase. (2.85kg).
Alas it cost me £70 to have the TV aerial fixed!. But at least it means that we can have TV up in the bedrooms again now.
DGD has been very good since coming back from her Grandad, but oh she has been so clumsy.
She fell over completely flat on her face/hands/knees, and also her hip this morning out side of Tesco. Not sure what she tripped on, one minute she was heading for the railing to look for the fish, and the next she was completely sprawled on the floor. She has some huge bruises come up on her hip, which seemed odd as it is nearer the back then the front of her hips, so she must have hit the ground funnily, she was behind me so I didnt see her fall. Bless her. She sobbed for a while, granny my hip really hurts. I dont blame her. Ouch is all I can say to the bruise that I could see immediately.
I will watch her and see how she goes on and make sure that she walks properly etc etc.
Right its time for me to go to bed. The washing up can be done in the morning when I get up, as there is no where to rush off too.

Today has been a trial and its only 11.40.!
DGD's leappad games needed to be downloaded onto the gadget. It was such a blooming hassle, and it decided after 2 hours of messing around that the batteries ran out.! this meant that I have now ordered her an adapter to the game, which will take up to 3 weeks to come!!!! Argh. She has gone through 3 sets of batteries since christmas. So she is currently playing on my iphone, but that is an old one so the batteries run low. Least I can charge that via the laptop, or the wall socket.
I have spent around £70 today as well as yesterday now, on things that were not in the budget. EEK.
I am now going to have to upload some of my older makes onto the web and see if I can sell them to recoupe my money.
Eek. I will need the help of Molly's daughter to get my stuff pictured if she can help me.
I will also be making more stuff this afternoon ready for the little girls parties over the next two weekends.
I promised myself that I would aim to make at least one thing a day, so thats a challenge anyway. I think I should be aiming to Sell one thing a day!! or 4 or 5 haha!:rotfl:

DGD and I are still in our PJ's and its lunchtime.
The laptop is getting too hot now so I have to go, turn it off and let it cool down.
I can always post from the kindle! How exciting is that.
    AFTER WE GET DRESSED!!!!:(:D

    The day went to pot.
I salvedged some of it by finishing the iphone cover, like yesterdays, and then I cut out and have done the main stitching on 12 P.E. bags. I couldnt finish them as I havent the cord, but I hope that that will go towards my promise to myself to Make at least one thing a day.
I will have to use some ribbon I suppose as I cannot find the cord I wanted. I really do not want to buy anymore stuff unless there really is no alternative. I must just take some time tomorrow to look harder.
DGD is in the bath. I will be glad if she settles to sleep this evening.

Did you click on the link in the first post? That's the bit you may find interesting. A grandmother in the same position as you has been given permission by the High Court to seek to be paid the same money by her local auhority as foster carers are, instead of a reduced rate because she's related to the child she cares for.

I have just found your new thread and wanted to say happy new year to you & yours!

I am sure the one person you let down knows you have a lot on your plate, perhaps you could put their order on your to do list and maybe one day you will get round to it.
