Well, I made a lemon drizzle cake this afternoon :) me and DH had a slice after tea and I can confirm that it's very tasty :D not doing any good for the waist line though :o

In other news, I've currently got a horrible metal-y taste in my mouth and keep feeling sick, which isn't nice :( am eating a mint as I'm typing this in the hopes the taste will go away! Very strange.

I've written two blog posts this afternoon and done some more planning prep, so plodding along there. I need to make a list of things I need to complete by Sunday evening, so that's all ready and prepared for Monday. There isn't too much really, just need to make sure I do it all!

We're going out to dinner tomorrow night with some friends which I'm really looking forward to :) just need to make sure I'm productive tomorrow to counter-act it.

    Happy Thursday everyone :)

I hope you had a nice summer. You were going to America if I recall correctly? I'm not so well at the moment.

  • SF - Google 'Domestic sluttery Pimms Cake - and follow the recipe, there is also a link to a limoncello and a 'something else alcoholic' - it is amazng - don't worry about sticking to their quantities though for the pimms - I glug, not measure…

Janey - I've never managed a full year in KS1 - I either start the year there and get moved out because there is a crisis elsewhere, or get moved in during the year because there is a crisis. I'm just hoping that because of my recent health problems I won't be top of the list to be moved this year. (this has happened 4 times in 10 years of teaching) Most of my consistent experience is in KS2, but I did 2/3 a year in nursery last year and loved it - going to try and find a way back there.

I hope you're feeling better today SF and don't have too much work to do. I haven't got much to do because we've got some curriculum changes and were told to wait until our INSET days before we plan certain subjects - talk about leaving it to the last minute!

I know the feeling! I was expecting to go to KS1 last year but ended up in year 6 full time! This time last year I was feeling more than a little anxious  Luckily it all went well in the end but it's not a year group I would choose again.

Well, I got up early so that Monday won't be too much of a shock but I'm finding it hard to move from the sofa :o

Not got much planned for today; I need to put some washing on, general housework but that's it. I think I'll just make something for tea from the cupboards and go food shopping tomorrow. I'm sure I can make something from the cupboard!

I'm going to do some blogging stuff as well whilst I've got a bit of down time; I'm going to try and get ahead so that this next week doesn't end up being mental. I'm also going to look at budgets as I think we need to reign it in during September :)

Also, has anyone thought about Christmas yet? :o I need to start thinking about it so that I'm more organised than last year. I left it to the last minute last year and then didn't enjoy it at all so I'm aiming to not leave myself int he same position this year. Watch this space ;)
