This might be a bit of a depressing post, so feel free to skip
I feel really emotional today, anxious and tired. I'm worried about going back to work next week - not sure why? I have some school work to complete but I have this week to do it and it shouldn't take me too long. I think it's because I know there will be changes to deal with when I get back and that I have no choice in the matter. I'll get on with it but I'm worried about how difficult it might be.
I'm also worrying about other things which is beginning to take it's tollanyone got any tips for trying to stay relaxed? Most of the things are out of my control which doesn't help! But I keep getting that feeling in my stomach like a knot, as if I'm worried about something and it's making me feel ill. Gah.
I also feel that because we're TTC, I should try and lose some weight as well. But that's another added pressure! It would make life easier if I could, but then I don't want to be stressed about it either. I'm a person who is an all-or-nothing and there's not much in between so I don't know if I should even focus on the numbers. I am trying to eat more healthily, but I don't know if it's enough.
Told you it would be a depressing postBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hi SF,
The things you can't control can be the most stressful. Going back to work is worrying at the best of times especially when you know there will be changes going on. All you can do is make sure you are prepared for the stuff you know you'll need and cope with the rest as and when it happens.
When I've got something worrying me I get the feeling of my stomach muscles sort of knotting or clenching. It's horrible because I can't control it and it happens again and again, even when I'm not actually thinking about the thing that I'm anxious about. Is that the sort of thing you're getting? About the only thing that helps me is really taking my mind off it, something like walking the dog or really concentrating on something else.
Maybe you could aim to be a bit more healthy rather than focusing on weight loss? Again, walking would be great, eating well and maybe some yoga or something? It could help you feel better and lose some weight.

Oh SF I know exactly how you feel. Metaphorically holding your hand with you over the next few days & weeks, we're all in this together.
I'm trying to work on 'mindfulness' at the moment, there's an app called headspace (you get a free trial) that is very good for those anxious moments.

Wish - thank you for that
when I'm there and in the classroom with some lovely children who are coming to realise they can do something they previously thought they couldn't is a wonderful feeling and I need to remember that. It's just all of the other stuff that comes with it that I'm wary of.
I was going to do some baking today but I didn't buy any baking parchment. D'oh! So I'll either pop to Mr Ms tonight or tomorrow to get some.
I'm watching shutter island whilst trying to do some school work. I need to do some seating plans and some planing for my year 13s, but it's going alright. I'm doing it in small doses so I don't lose focus or motivationgetting slowly back in the mindset and thinking about other things that will happen next week.

Year 13s, doesn't sound like fun....
I've got year 1, and still not got access or info about any of it... Ho hum, will have to enjoy that holiday feeling for a bit longer. (Although I do enjoy start of year prep)
Keep going. And let us know what you bake. I've just munched a piece of pims cake. Yummy yummy.Mortgage outstanding: [STRIKE]£47,750 (August 2014)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE][/STRIKE]£46,950 (Nov 14)[STRIKE][/STRIKE] £44,900 (June 2015)
