I've currently got beef and ale stew bubbling away in the oven and it's making the house smell so good  I've also made a lemon drizzle cake and a maple syrup cheesecake - life is good
Spent more than normal at Mr Ms today but we've got family coming round for a meal so I'm not too botheredI'm looking forward to it as it should be a good evening. Might even suggest a board game or something afterwards! I'm so cool...
Me and DH are going to look at bathrooms tomorrow and looking at pricing different types of suites. I think we're wanting something relatively simple and space saving as our bathroom is quite small so that's excitingI then need to work out some more short term savings goals and more long term planning.
Drinking a cuppa out of my new Boston mug too, life is goodBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Sounds delicious SF, enjoy!
We've also got a small bathroom, I'd love to renovate it, but feel that we can't justify the cost as this isn't a forever home. I'd love a fully tiled wet room, just walk in and turn on the rain shower...
What sort of style do you like?0 -

As long as you don't go for the 'shell suite' from the famous DIY shop, you can't go far wrong. I took great delight pulling it out.....Mortgage outstanding: [STRIKE]£47,750 (August 2014)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE][/STRIKE]£46,950 (Nov 14)[STRIKE][/STRIKE] £44,900 (June 2015)

Hi SF
Glad to hear you sounding a bit more cheerful
Last night I had pj's, slipper boots, dressing gown, fleece blanket, hot water bottle and a jack russell to keep me warm while watching TV! There's no way I'm putting the heaters on as they cost so much. Need to [STRIKE]nag[/STRIKE] repeatedly remind OH to start chopping wood!
I think a cheap white bathroom sweet with slightly nicer taps and tiles looks great. We can't wait for a new bathroom!
Ed, my OH suggested putting a drain in the bathroom floor as all the Greek bathrooms had these, even if they weren't wet rooms. I hate wet rooms! Even the loo roll gets wet - yuk!"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015
Started renovating 2015
Renovation fund... what renovation fund? Emergency fund 40% Future fund... ongoing...0 -
