Urgh, I've been off work today
I feel awful. I hate being ill and I don't have time to be off work, but I couldn't move this morning. I have a high temperature, feel sick and keep coming over all dizzy
I'm hoping to be alright in the morning.
In other news, it's been another NSD for me, as I've been absolutely nowhere.
I don't even want any chocolate, that's how bad I am

Woosh, I'm glad it's the weekend.
I made a £50 OP yesterday, our regular Friday OP, so long as the account looks okayI've not spent anything all week and neither has DH, so it was looking pretty good. Until the last week of May, it's looking to be a relatively cheap month
In other news, we've paid for all of our holiday! :j :j it finally left the account at the start of the week so it's very exciting knowing we a) managed to get the money saved and paid on time and b) we're actually goingI know that sounds daft, but it feels a bit more real now. I'm also on a healthy eating regime so that I can eat lots whilst we're there
Had a very lazy day today; I've not even been food shopping! I will need to go tomorrow though, the fridge and cupboards are very bareI think I might do some baking tomorrow too, maybe some scones or something.. although that won't help me with my healthy eating..
Happy Saturday everyoneBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:
Just going to leave those there. Totally sums up my mood re: work today, it's so frustrating at the moment and there's nothing I can do about the situation apart from grit my teeth and (reluctantly) get on with it. Sometimes I wish I was self employed somehow and could be my own boss! Meh.
It's been a NSD for us today though, on the positive side. We've had tuna pasta bake for tea which was  and makes me wonder why we don't have it more often, and there's leftovers for DH for lunch tomorrow, which is an extra bonus.
Although money things are *touch wood* alright at the moment, I really need to look into other income, somehow. My issue is fitting something else in, whilst working 50+ hours a week plus all the extra at home, plus having parents evenings, rehearsals and meetings after school every night. Hmm... there must be something! Watch this space....
Right, I need a cuppa. Happy Monday...Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I feel your pain...... Work takes up a huge part of people's lives - I've spent far too many evenings feeling angry and frustrated about the days eventsEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Well, another day is over
I made a HM curry for tea using tikka masala paste and savers natural yorgurt - very nice it was too. You could definitely tell that it was made with yogurt rather than coconut milk, but not necessarily a bad thing.
Another NSD too; took lunch to school with me and no money which makes it hard to spend
Just going to catch up with the latest episode of game of thrones and have a cuppanot a bad way to spend the evening.

It's so heartbreaking when your fur babies get sick
both cats have been off their food since Sunday and started being sick on Tuesday, so last night I took them to the vets when I got home. £79 and both cats back at home - the vet can't quite figure out what's wrong. They've either caught a virus which they've passed to each other or they've eaten something outside that they shouldn't. Here's hoping they're better soon
So, yesterday wasn't a NSD, but today has beenI'm hoping to do a £50 OP tomorrow; I'll check the funds in the morning to see how they're looking.
Nothing else to report; please pray for a speedy recovery for our little cats...Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Evening, so sorry to hear both cats are under the weather. Will be adding them to our animal prayers - and yes, I really do

Thanks Tilly xx
Well, not a good daywas woken up at 5:30am this morning with the smaller one being sick on the bed. On closer inspection (eurgh) there were specks of blood in there - tried not to panic. Took her to the vets as soon as it opened. Apparently it may be the start of a stomach ulcer, aggravated by the lack of food in the stomach and so therefore stomach acid not doing a lot. We've got some syrup to line the stomach and try to heal the ulcer, and another injection to stop her from being sick. Hopefully this will start to do the trick; it's all so horrible at the moment.
As you can imagine, my patience at work today was somewhat lackingand I left as soon as I could do be at home.
Today hasn't been a NSD, due to spends at the vets, but a necessary spend.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hi SF
I'm having a long overdue catch-up of diaries. I'm sorry you've been ill, work is rubbish and now your cat is sick. I have had all three in the last month but don't feel any better knowing you're having the same experience.slowlyfading wrote: »It really does take up so much time - if you worked out a percentage of time either at work/thinking about work/working from home/travelling to work, I reckon it'd be pretty high....

I thought my mum was joking when she told me her prayer group had prayed for my dog. Mum said they are all god's creatures and she [the dog] is very dear to me.
I hope your cats are feeling better and work picks up soon. If people knew what the atmosphere is like among staff in most schools they would think it a miracle that we manage to do anything well!
