Another month! How is it September already?!

I am much more of a winter person though, so I'm looking forward to the coming months :) we're going up to Northumberland for a weekend at the end of September, so that's something to look forward to as well :)

August was a bit of a spendy month, with going on holiday and then the wedding last weekend. I'm aiming for a fairly frugal September so that I can begin our Christmas shopping in October. I've got some ideas for people, but need to have a ponder and a browse online :)

I'm also looking forward to seeing how having just one car will impact on our finances (in a good way) when I'm back at work full time :)

Well, the mortgage payment has gone out and interest added. For the month of August, we paid £326.24 in interest, which works out at £10.52 a day, so going in the right direction. Can't wait until that's below the magic £10 a day!

Checking the account, it seems like we're doing okay money-wise, *touch wood* and I don't think there's much in terms of big DDs going out any time soon, so that's all good :)

I'm just pottering around today, getting ready for work tomorrow. I need to do some tidying up and a bit of shredding and paperwork that I've been putting off. Still, shouldn't take too long.

First though, I need a cuppa!

So, I've done some school work, I've got lamb marinating in the fridge for tea, I've tidied up downstairs and cleaned the kitchen, and am now having a cup of coffee and a sit! Feeing very productive today :) which is good!

I'm looking forward to tea  we got a small rack of lamb on YS so I snapped it up as it's normally out of our price range. We're having this: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3692/mustard-and-rosemarycrusted-rack-of-lamb with sweet potato mash and gravy, nom nom nom :D

I'm feeling just about ready for tomorrow.... I think....
