    It's the weekend :j :j

NSD 19 for me today :) and still got half a tank of petrol left in the car, so won't need to put any more in til half way through next week :D we had quiche for tea, which was yummy, and am now relaxing on the sofa.

We are ahead of schedule in terms of our mortgage plan and target, which kind of blows my mind. We started the year with out mortgage at £123,000 and today, it is at £115,400. We're on target to hopefully be under £113,000 by the end of the year, which would mean a total reduction of £10,000 this year alone. Now, we'll have paid off quite a bit more than that, after paying off the added interest every month, but it just shows what we can do if we try.

However, I have been looking at pensions again this evening. I'm enrolled in the teachers pension scheme, and DH has a scheme through work as well, so it should seem like we're set, for now. But, I have a feeling that we should perhaps look at more long term plans sooner rather than later. Hmm..

We also have other things to save for:
    - holiday to America (hopefully next year!)
    - new bathroom (ours is okay, but does need a whole new bathroom in there really, as it's not that great....)
    - new (or nearly new) family car (eventually)
    - new garden fence (it's held together by plants... :o )
    - baby... :o
    - maternity leave

The list feels endless! :( How do people ever manage all of the stuff?!

Gah, money overwhelms me a lot of the time. Blah.

  • So, I'm in the midst of menu planning this morning, whilst watching Jamie's 15 minute meals on the tv, which probably isn't a good idea :rotfl: some of the calorie counts in his meals are high though... but they look very tasty!

Not much planned for today - mum is coming across for the day, so we might pop out for lunch :) I also need to go and get food for tea, hence the planning! Might do a curry for tea... hmm...

I've been naughty this morning, as I currently have the tumble drier on... :o

I've worked out our mortgage daily interest, and it's now £10.44 a day, down from £10.52 last month. I so can't wait til it's under £10 a day!

Aiming for my first NSD of October today - not planning on spending anything or taking my purse anywhere.

    Happy Hump day everyone!
