Glad to hear that.I've spent the last few weeks volunteering in a primary school on a more general level than just teaching Music. I would really like to do a PGCE and then try teaching in a school but am not confident I'd cope and don't want to let my hypothetical class down.

Sunday, July 17th.
We've had such a lovely day today. We drove up to Aysgarth Falls with my parents and did the circular walk up there in the sunshine. We had lunch in the cafe which is next to the car park, though I was good and had a jacket potato with tuna mayo. DH had a very yummy looking bacon sandwich with Wensleydale cheese though - I hate having food envy! DS is happy being in his carrier during the walk and chatters away which is incredibly cute. I feel very blessed today
Only three days left of work too, which is definitely a long time coming! Everyone at work is shattered and we are all ready for the break; I know I've only been back since May but it's been a looooong term. I'm so looking forward to having so much time to spend with DS and enjoying the summer together. He's 1 in three weeks time
Positive things today:- Happy, family time.
- Sunshine!

Thanks SF.
I'm going to an open day on Tuesday. Still don't know whether I'll submit an application in the autumn or not, or how I'll explain away the past 7-8 years of my life if I do submit an application.
Really does sound like you've had a wonderful day. Can't quite believe your son is 1 in three weeks, time flies. At the moment, I'm trying to get over the fact my son will be in Year 1 come September. :rotfl:

Wednesday, July 20th.
It's the end of term :j :j I have six weeks to spend lots of time with my beautiful boyI am so looking forward to spending lots of time with him, just me and him like it was on maternity leave
One thing he's definitely not a fan of at the moment is the heat; he's so miserable on a night as he just can't keep cool, just like the rest of us. Only we can understand what's going on and although we might not like it, know that there's not much that can be done to change the temperature. He doesn't understand that; he's been up since 4:45am today as he was too hot and grumpy to sleep any longer.
Positives today:- End of term :j

Hi SF
Your investing methodology is totally different to my own in that you pick individual companies that offer decent dividends and that you personally believe in. I'd be really interested to understand how you manage the costs. Maybe it would make for an interesting blog article?
If you detailed the platform you use, the thought process and key data points behind a decision to invest, along with all the costs involved, it could serve as a basic step by step "getting started with investing" article. Sounds like something that could pick up a lot of search traffic! Maybe your platform would even stump up a fee for being featured?
I'm seriously considering starting a blog of my own, and I think tracking a very small number of individual shares could make for interesting reading, but I'll only get involved if it can be done cheaply. Your help could definitely end up giving me a bit of a kick start0 -

Thursday, July 21st.
I have been down to Sheffield today, to visit my grandparents as it's their 65th wedding anniversary today:kisses3: my Grandma is now in a nursing home as she has dementia, but me and Grandpa went to visit her. We took a cake and they had a little party in their dining room
I got a bit emotional as I don't know how much she understood about what was going on, but it was so lovely. DS came too but he wasn't so patient about everything... typical baby!
So, not much else done today other than traveling and then at the nursing home this afternoon. DS is still not a fan of the heat, and neither I am to be honest. Typical British person complaining about the weather :rotfl: he's waking up really early (around 5am) each morning and is a bit tetchy at the moment and I don't think it's another tooth coming through?
Positives today:- NSD
- Spending time with my grandparents
- Anniversary cake!
