First day of term survived without any mishaps
the first day is always the hardest, including getting up in the morning.
1st NSD of June and I'm hoping that June will end up being less spendy than May ended up being. The only bit of furniture we potentially need to buy for the nursery is a wardrobe, but we can't decide if we even need one to begin with; we've got a chest of drawers, surely that'll be enough to begin with?
I've also updated my Ultimate Dream fund in my sig - I'm going to do an in depth blog post about this on Friday, but I'm off the mark :j :j the number is daunting (although I've changed that slightly too, so it's a bit lower) but I need to keep it in mind at all times if I'm actually going to reach our aim.
Happy June everyoneBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hi SF, just dropping in to say 'hi' :waves:
I've still got 2 more pages to read to catch up but need to get up and about now
I'm very interested in how you got your savings goal and Mr E's formulas looked very interesting, but I'm too tired out to think about that at the moment!

It's Friday :j :j
NSD no. 5 for the SF householdtransferred a tiny £1.67 into savings today; much less than the approx. £39 it has to be per day to meet target
but ho hum, plodding along there. Also did an OP of £20.19 which tidies up the mortgage nicely. Getting ever so closer to being under 6 figures - it's currently £102,XXX so we should definitely be there by the end of the year, which is good
Got a lovely weekend planned with family and friends, including a walk tomorrow in the sunshine. I've check there are lots of toilet stops along the way :rotfl: so I'm looking forward to it. Need to make the most of things!
Posted a blog post about the ultimate dream fund today if anyone wants to have a look.

We ended up going for a 6 mile walk yesterday; I generously over-estimated what I would be able to do at 31 weeks preggers, so was hobbling along at the end. I could hardly get up the stairs when we got home
but, the weather was lovely and the company even better, so it was a good day out
We're out again in a few minutes to meet a friend for Sunday lunchwe're making the most of being able to do this without having a massive plan in place beforehand :rotfl:
Been to Mr Ms and spent £29 on food for the week, which I'm pleased aboutnot scrimping on food at all, but using up things we have in the cupboards/freezer does make a difference on the overall budget. We even managed to get some reduced sea bass fillets for the freezer! We're posh around here
I bought some feeding bottles that have been reduced from £35 to £7 that are suitable for newborns, just in case the breastfeeding isn't as straight forward as I'd like. Need to look at pumps too!
