It's also good for the environment! Although remember to turn them back to paper statements for 6 months before any prospective house move, I find these are more readily accepted by banks/brokers etc. for proof of income purposes.

Hope you enjoy the tail end of your break :)

Good point - I shall remember to do that.
Hope you enjoy the tail end of your break :)
Thanks, just taking it easy really :)

Doesn't everything seem better when the sun is shining?

Baby has been kicking lots today :heartpuls which is such an amazing feeling. I cannot believe there's still so long to go! Patience is definitely being tested at the moment, though I know I should be appreciating the peace and quiet before the madness begins :D

Another NSD for me today - I shall go food shopping tomorrow. We're off to a friend's house for tea tonight which should be very nice. Going to take a bottle of wine with us but it's already in the cupboard and there'll be lemonade for me no doubt :) I'm hoping to be under £40 for our food shop for the upcoming week, but we'll see.

Not done any OPs this month yet - we've changed our OP strategy in the short term (see my blog if you're interested) - but it feels a little strange to not being OP'ing so often. My original short term goal was to get under the £100,000 mark by the end of this year. We may still achieve this but it'll be tighter than before. I'm still hopeful though!

    Happy Saturday everyone :)

And so, back to work. To be honest, today has been fine and a somewhat easy first day back :) and it's one Monday over already, which is never a bad thing!

I think we may have found a car we like, in our budget range. We went to test drive it yesterday - dont want to say what it is in case we jinx it! - and it was really nice to drive. The only slight snag is that we'll have to wait for this month's payday to be able to pay for the car outright in cash, which is what we want to do. We've talked to the seller and they're quite happy to wait, but you never know right? But, fingers crossed it'll all be sorted by the end of the month/beginning of next month. A bit sooner than perhaps we need, but at least I'll get plenty of practice driving it before baby arrives!

Today marks NSD 8 of April for me - I still think meeting our target this month will be tight, but I will continue plodding along :) I took minestrone soup and HM orange cake for lunch today. We've had spaghetti puttanesca with garlic bread for tea (recipe is on the blog if you want it!) and now stuffed.

Not much planned for the week, just work and getting back into the swing of things.

    Happy Monday everyone :)

We spent yesterday evening in the company of a gorgeous wee baby (6lbs). Barely a gurn and such a good sleeper. Mrs E is now at the kicking stage where her entire stomach distorts when the baby rolls over, it is a sight to see! :)
