slowlyfading: The weight won't stay after your baby is born. My wife has got a better figure now than ever before and she was really worried about her weight too when she was pregnant.

Perhaps you ought to put the scales in the loft or if you'd be tempted then, take them to your parents / a friends house?

I've heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time today :) :smileyhea I'm struggling to put into words what an amazing feeling that is; I cannot wait to meet our little person now. It's made me feel quite emotional! The midwife said my bump size is perfect for the stage I'm at, and to try not to worry about what I'm eating, as I need to be providing nutrition and calories for the both of us. So, going to try not to worry about it, though I think it'll be easier said than done.

NSD 15 for me today - going okay this month :) we're having pancakes for tea! Sadly excited :o as I love pancakes. Going to try and persuade DH to watch a film tonight as I've got lots recorded on the box to catch up on :)

Happy Wednesday, from a very happy SF :)

It is an amazing feeling, isn't it? Something so delicate, but thumping away like the clappers at the same time :)

I am in awe of your NSDs, think I have managed one in about a month!

Glad to hear that you and baby are doing well. :) As for feeling quite emotional, sorry but there's a lot more to come! Before becoming a father, I thought my heart was made of stone. Now, I know I'll be "that" parent, conveniently getting dust in his eye at the school gate come September. I'll even admit sending him to nursery for the first time provoked a similar reaction. :o

Your NSDs are quite remarkable. :D

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

So I should get used to feeling like this then :);) and NSDs are a piece of cake, if you plan accordingly.

It's meant to be even worse for the mother. :)

... Not the dreaded "planning" word again.
