    Brilliant, and cheered me up!

His full haul this week was the tobasco, a yoga mat, two pairs of plastic flip flops, a (branded) hat, half a dozen kids t shirts (we don't have kids) and a ruck sack. Oh and some tiny cool things for lunch boxes.

He is thrilled because it was all free.....I am deflated becuase it's all Richard.

Ask him what 40 things he is going to get rid of because he brought 40 things in. Ask him like you mean it!

Then drink the Bloody Mary's and you'll have a net decrease!
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

I'll let you know how it goes.:)

He's totally beaming too.....with puppy dog eyes. And it turns put he got a bag for me too ( handy for aking other stuff out in but that's it).
  • Wait until he goes back to work and off the lot. If he asks where it is, you've put it away safe but can't remember where.

Either that or tell him if it stays, your wedding dress and the stuff you were wearing when you met him goes. His choice.

Sounds harsh, but if he gets emotional about cardboard boxes other stuff comes in, he needs to be reminded that there are degrees of importance. At present a pair of flip flops is rated as highly as the clothing you wore when you promised to be with him forever.

    Oooohhhh......kids t shirts!

    Lol!

This week I have also brought in many items purchased in boots 75% sale! I didn't go OTT but still, it was unnecessary

Good idea folks about the kiddy parties but they seem to have their own makeup collection also (you know, boots glitter babes stuff, Lelli kelly gifts with purchase of shoes etc) we could set up our own wee beauty parlour here. (They have shower caps (to keep hair out the face) and chocolate face mask and eldest has a kiddy foot spa that has gelly balls in it). Eldest is a proper little girly girl sometimes yet is also happy scrabbling about in the dirt for worms and spiders

Also, I'm not that keen on kids.........well, other people's kids, lol!

At least I've made my list which helps me face the amount of each thing I have and it is making me realise that it is wrong or wasteful in itself to own too much 'stuff' the majority of stuff I am left with is quite hidden at the mo, even when my friend came in today (one of only two I am comfortable having in the house) she commented that I'd been having a major cleanup. I haven't really though I just think its coz mt ironing pile no longer resided in the kitchen

Every surface in the house bar the kitchen table still has 'stuff' or 'kipple' as aforementioned covering it. It's like a little safety net of junk that needs sorting and has been sorted in the last, only for it to reappear not long after possibly in the form of other similar objects. I feel safe with the stuff there. Which is rather random and inexplicable

  • I realised yesterday that I spend as long putting away an A4 sheet with 2 remaining stickers on as I do archiving important papers or choosing where to store my passport; I give them equal weight - which has to change, so stickers into bin, I have more

I have also decided to spend less time wrapping eBy items; other people manage fine sending things in twists of corrugated cardboard with scrawled writing, not in perfect-sized boxes and neat printed labels, so I will too. I get feedback about how good my packaging is, which shouldn't be the point; it just has to get there safely.

I love new year resolutions; for as many of us who are declottering hobbies and aspirational purchases there are those who have decided that this will be the year when they take up my craft or need a new job so buy my dericharded materials and smart clothes!

BH I used to wrap all my eBay sales in tissue with a wee sticker sealing it and then in the envelope/bag etc. far too precise!

I can't be bothered with eBay any more but I guess I just wanted these things to be loved and so I wrapped them like presents essentially, seems weird to think it now!

Why am i reminded of that character from the Fast Show? The one who went out with a shopping list and came back with nothing from it but a load of tat!
