I'm going to look into the cash for clothes, last time we took a bag to the CS she was very sniffy about it - and these were new with tags!
    :(
Maybe it made the worn primarni tops but priced as if it's brand new designer look bad? Sorry but if I was giving a bag of dirty smelly rags I could understand it but hey ho. Put me off a little bit but as always I take offence ten minutes after the event :o one day I'll think quick enough and actually react in time! Plenty of other CSs out there.

I'm going to get a glass of wine. Mood I'm in everything is going to make me

Sorry to hear that Pudsey. I hope the support here will help you through this very difficult time.

Well today I finally, after months of dithering, went and bought a steam mop for our floors (only carpet in house is in lodgers room).
I am now officially in love with it:smileyhea:D, as are my floors. Bathroom (vinyl flooring) came up a treat in 2 mins and all nice and dry. Hall and stairs done (wooden). Many months since I have been able to face doing them. I never found a conventional squeezy mop to be that effective and the whole bucket thing just put me off and I invariably ended up on my knees.
Mop is very light weight and easy to use and quick to heat up and no chemicals needed to be added to water.

My biggest dilemma was that if I had ordered on line rather than picked up in shop, I could have got a free cake tin gift - agonised over this, but I know I don't actually need another cake tin and the last free gift I got remains unused. So I forced myself to forgo it and have the less hassle of getting it direct than having a parcel turn up when I am not here. Hurrah for being able to turn down free stuff I don't really need:T

It's nice to feel my home is a little less grubby tonight.

The true test is if I now use it regularly.
Which one did you get please?

Pudsey - so sorry to hear about your mum. Take care of yourself x

I seem to have stalled a bit with the dehoarding, trying to motivate myself to get the bathroom finished but it's so cold in there it puts me off. Need to toughen up and get on with. Tho there was a shiny thing in the sky today giving off a bit of heat so if that hangs around things may warm up;)

Do you mind if I ask which one you bought? I have been dithering over buying one for months, decide yes, see a bad review, dither back to no won't bother, then back again to thinking how much I want one

Pudsey Im so sorry for your loss- take care and sending lots of love x

Hi all. I too have been AWOL with LOADS going on .
I had a wobble about my horrible job working for one of the big weight loss companies (not WW the other one) and my new manager peeeed me off ONE time to many. I had a wobble on husband and said "I don't have a career, Im not qualified to do anything, I'll have to work in a shop, boo hoo wah hah" etc. And he said "You are a Registered Childminder with 20 years experience, tons of qualifications and a fab reputation in our area- go back to that" so I went "Oh yeah! I am, aren't I?!!!"
So I handed my notice in to Fat Fighters, advertised, started working the following week for a LOVELY family, have already been booked for September by one of my previous clients who has since had another baby and its all good!
The only downfall is that I have no time to sort out the house at all and its really getting me down. However what I do have is more of an income sooo I have got me a new cleaner (I nearly died when she said "your house hasn't been cleaned for a while, has it" after her first visit :(. I have also just today booked a professional de-clutterer for a whole day in 3 weeks time to help me blitz it all once and for all! Its £30 an hour BUT that includes her taking it all away to the charity shop etc as that's where it tends to fall down for me- I have a fit of pique and shove things into bags and then the bags fester round the house for months. OFSTED are due to pay me a little visit soon and having a house full of small people again (6 for tea 3 days a week) I need to be able to function.

I have missed you lot and cant wait to try and have a catch up on my new laptop that doesn't have to be permanently plugged in and heats up and sunds like its taking off!!:rotfl:

OOh and I gave up smoking 58 days ago :)

    Welcome back! You've been missed.

Yay for the Prof's common sense answer to your wobbly. :)
