Just rung BT for a refund of £60.00 (it might as well be in my bank account than making a big fat profit in theirs) should arrive with 3/5 days.:money: so total so far £93.28Penny wise pound foolish. 366 days 1p challenge 2020/21/22/23 completed.

I have only 1 word for you
obsessed :rotfl:
back in a bit when ive found some money:p
a rather measly £2.24 to my holiday fund to round that up to £20.
anyone that can remember that i had a car accident back in July, well the other driver was denying responsibility so I had to pay my excess and it had gone as far as waiting for a court date to recover monies, well the other driver has finally admitted liability and I am waiting for a cheque for my excess back.
Things are all achange with income at the mo so I cant do much forecasting until some bits are sorted, its driving me nutty.
I have found an apartment for our holiday and I want that booked asap so focus is there at the moment and that is where I will direct my excess refund.
I have a confession, I feel a bit lost not having debt as such, the pressure is off and I should be relaxed and happy but Im not, I enjoyed the consistency so as soon as my income is stable again I will be able to treat all my none debts as debts and make the same payment at the same frequency. Ocd much lol.
Anyway sorry for the long rambling post, I hope everyone is ok and thank you for keeping the thread going and giving me somewhere to come.Littlewoods £10 Very BNPL £234.42

Things are tight this month as I am desperately trying to stay out of the overdraft I have just cleared, so a rather pathetic £1.49 overpayment this week.
Better than nothing I suppose.Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Betty Crumble, that's really interesting! I hope the accident is sorted much more quickly now, what a cheeky driver. Are your extra payments going towards the holiday too?
I wonder if I should also consider a savings extra payment?
When I think of my finances and the cash I owe - £6k on credit cards I end beating myself up a bit about it. But, as a result of this challenge, I should be able to close one down loads earlier in March. Yippee! :j
This challenge has made me a wee bit obsessed too, on where my money is going! I now have an app on my mobile that I can log all my spending, down to every last Twix, every bus instead of using my train pass home at the end of the night (£2.50 a pop, tsk!)
It's really helpful to see where I over and underspend. I'm hoping this year to start saving a deposit for my first home so seeing where I can cut back is really handy.
£1.60 this week for me.
Have a lovely weekend all0 -
Betty if we have to have an OCD or obsession, then I think this is a good one to have!
£6.80 for me today, but that was made before I just had to make a purchase on my debit card so my balance is all untidy again. Wonder if I should do another ...... :rotfl::rotfl:
freebyfifty any overpayment is a good one, and it is often worth many times more in reducing compounded interest!
You have a good weekend too purple XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

now it's been confirmed we are in a triple dip recession - we have to hold onto 'every penny'. I love the fact that purplegrape has a phone app for 'spending' what a great idea. inspired by you all, you all keep me on track:T

purps, Ive only got my cc left out of 7k of debt and thats on 0% so im not busting a gut to get rid of it before its time. I had to find something and I didnt want to leave this thread as it helped me focus so much last year so my extra payments are really what i put in the holiday pot.
What im about to say is terrible but I could almost stick all the holiday on the (credit limit raised if i did) cc and have a legitimate debt to pay.Littlewoods £10 Very BNPL £234.42
