Here we go! Confession time again
Haven't really been on top of this of late but have made a little attempt today whilst paying regular monthly payments on cards I rounded up so an overpayment of £2:)
Now my conundrum which I think I have made a decision on. Some of you may recall that a little while ago my little dog was attacked which resulted in a two week specialist unit stay and a total bill of £7,700. I was insured for £5,500 less the excess. All three vets have claimed direct and two have been paid totally what was my limit. The third vet is under dispute by myself anyway as their care resulted in my dog being resuscitated and he basically would be dead had it not been for my intervention in his care. (Long story)
Anyway I had paid one of the vets £2k (sold jewellery:() they have returned £1800 and I need to pay about £250 to the third vet. I have been considering whether to hold the remaining money in my bank for the third disputed bill or to pay off my lowest card saving me £30 a month until such a time as I have to pay all or part of the bill.
Following another call from the said vet again last night to see how my dog is, I've decided to use the money for now and when it's decided I do have to pay them something aim to get them to allow me to pay in instalments which will hopefully then be interest free?
Not sure what everyone else thinks?

This week's overpayment of £43.18 has just gone to my Barclaycard courtesy of payday. I've been doing this challenge for just 3 weeks and have already overpaid by £100.18. What a great motivating thread! Happy Easter everyone!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I agree with everyone else Julie, pay off any debts you can and try to pay the vets in instalments (if at all!!).
Paid £6.98 to credit card today. Rounding down bank today instead of tomorrow as it's a bank holiday.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I think it's worth checking about installments from the vets, Julie. Good luck, sounds like a really yuk situation.
Sorry you've had such a rough time lancashire, take it easy on yourself.
Have a great weekend everyone!0 -
Ok so tonight I paid my own vet the money I owed them after the insurance claim. Dog had his jab! Back for a second in two weeks.
I've now made a payment to my card of what was left of the money I got back so that leaves just £635 on my smallest card. I'm going to aim to get that paid off in the next two months at the latest. So, taking out what I would have paid anyway I have now made an additional payment this week of £1,251.69. That said though I might have to borrow it back again, although talking to the vet tonight they have discussed it at management level of their group and they don't think I should be paying anything at all. They were really shocked when I said the vet had phoned me again this week! So fingers crossed.

Happy Easter guys,
Have been lurking in the background for a few weeks, but as payday finally occurred (!) I have skimmed the bank account for the first time for ages and sent over £16.08.
Seem to have lost some momentum a little, but will try and get back up to speed now...
Have a great chocolatey weekend all.Sealed Pot Challenge - No: 223
