I think you are staying at GN memorial weekend?

If so just found this that someone posted on vegasmessageboard

You picked a great weekend to be at the Nugget, as it's the official hotel for the Punk Rock Bowling and Music Festival. There will be lots of interesting people watching. I go every year!

You can normally get flights from dublin from around £350 as theres no UK APT to pay. Play around with dates on opodo/expedia etc.

I'm maybe thinking about going Direct from Manchester with Virgin now, its £780. The extra money should be worth the time saved getting there. So many choices..I'm getting a sore head lol :)
  • I just got two nights at The Venetian for £80 a night on Priceline, a Friday and Saturday too. Thats a pretty good price, right?!

That is very good, prices for upscale strip hotels can be upwards of £250 a night for the weekends
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Be sure to check that VA are flying direct on the date you want - they have stopped flights from Manchester direct for some of the year.

Thats a good price for almost anywhere on the strip for a Fri and Sat, exceptional for the Venetian esp if it includes resort fee

I'm not sure if it includes resort fee, didn't see any mention of it. I wouldn't imagine it does.

We wanted to stay at The Palazzo, having checked the usual places, Hotels.com, Expedia, E-Bookers, RoomKey.com etc, the best room rates for our dates were found by registering on SmarterVegas.com for their unlisted codes.
Being Priority Club members for IHG hotels and knowing The Palazzo/The Venetian are bookable on the Holiday Inn/IHG website we investigated their price promise by e-mailing them.
Our information was to register with Palazzo/Venetian loyalty program, Grazie and wait for special offers.
We did so and and received special offers resulting in the lowest price, subsequently equalled by a smartervegas code exclusively available to Grazie members.
We enquired about the $28 plus tax resort fee at The Palazzo/The Venetian and were told it is optional at check-in.
If you use any of the resort fee inclusives they will be billed separately, this was fine with us as we didn't intend using anything, so very good.
For comparison with your Priceline rate, we ended up with $149 plus tax including breakfast, but on a Monday / Tuesday stay.
So yes, £80 per night for a Friday / Saturday stay looks very good, and you should have the option of not paying a resort fee.
